Wachi's Nonsense: It's MAHVEL BAYBEE!

IT'S MAHVEL BAYBEEE!!! Hey readers how've you been? Are you as hyped as I have been this past week? Yes? No? Mahvel?? I know, I know it's been a long while since I have posted anything but work has been insanely busy these past few months, only to have my computer's hard drive die on me (AGAIN!!) so I have been pretty distant from my computer aside from work, that is until this past week, when they announced MARVEL VS CAPCOM INFINITE, and I have been scouring the internet everyday for any small tid bit of new information that I can; you see readers, the Marvel vs Capcom series has been a huge favorite of mine since my early childhood days. As a kid I'd play MvC1 in the arcade machine at my local bowling alley, and as a pre-teen - teen I'd play MvC2 in the waiting room at my local laser tag establishment between rounds, only to later buy it on the Xbox Live Arcade after High school. Many years after that, on 2011 Marvel 3 came out and I bought and played the crap out of it, watching the EVO tournaments annually, Mahvel has always been hype; and now, 5 years later, we get this reboot to the series, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite and I can't calm down!!

Crazy hype aside, as with any new entry to a popular fighting game franchise what is the biggest topic that any and all fans need to speculate on ad nauseam? That's right, the roster! So that is what I wanted to do too, I wanted to just give my two cents on whom I'd ideally love to see in this new installment. Before that however, I would like to say I am not turned off by the series' return to the 2v2 format, don't get me wrong, I adore playing and watching the bombastic 3v3 assist fest that have been the previous 2 games, but I feel going back to 2v2 will lower the bar enough to encourage newcomers to this amazing series without risking the beloved combo creativity and onscreen zaniness that the games are known for; not to mention you can actually choose your 2 favorites of the cast because you want to, not necessarily because of their assist synergy. The lack of X-factor is pretty sad but honestly needed because that system was incredibly broken, not to mention that this call back to the old school infinity stone system from the classic Marvel Super Heroes fighter has got me pretty optimistic for the series' future.

So with all that jargon out of the way let's get to my character picks, I will pick 5 characters from each side, 10 in total, and my one rule is that they must be completely new to the series, in the sense that they have never been playable in previous games, and with that all said and done let's get this obligatory MAHVEL post going!

Capcom Side;

For the Capcom side I'd like to see more obscure characters mixing from older and more recent franchises, which is why my first pick is Regina from Dino Crisis;

Regina;

The codename of the female member of the Secret Operation Raid Team (S.O.R.T.), she is a weapons specialist and dinosaur destroyer! We honestly haven't seen much of Regina since Dino Crisis 2 and this character and series could definitely use some extra love especially since Capcom announced that is MvC Infinite does well they will be rebooting a lot of their older franchises and this is one I'd like to see come back strong. Despite always being brought down by her Female badass counterpart from Capcom's Resident Evil series, Jill, I feel she has enough up her arsenal to make an impressive showing in this new entry. Regina is strong willed and an amazing character I'd hate to see completely vanish from Capcom's library.

Asura;

The main protagonist of the one off action beat'em up game Asura's wrath. He is a demi-god similar to the angry Kratos, though much more merciful towards the innocent than his sony couterpart. He would be a wonderful quick powerhouse character, with interesting story potential for having him in this game. Plus his ability to create strong bonds despite his wrath would be great to see with this partner system. Plus his anger explodes whenever he sees or experiences wrong doing of any sort, so he could have a great boost/mechanic when his partner falls in battle. Overall I think I'd make an amazing fit in this fighter, I mean he fought Ryu from Street Fighter already, his initiation is complete lol.

Gene;

A courageous rambler and wielder of one of the Godhands (eventually both). His deep sense of justice and outspoken nature would match this game's universe personally, not to mention his one-liners could yield some fun results in pre and post battle remarks. Despite its cult classic status, on cannot deny that the combo heavy gameplay would transition beautifully into such a combo creative game like Marvel v Capcom Infinite. Plus giving him more exposure, I'm sure fans would be willing to give a sequel/remaster of his series a try.

Rikuo/ Aulbath;

Yes, yes, Morrigan is always going to be the main Darkstalkers rep, and I know that Felicia has usually been her popular second, but, I'd really like Rikuo in this next installment. His appendages turn into various freaking sea creatures and his caring nature could make him this universes more interesting Aquaman (Though Aquaman has gotten much better than his Super Friends apperance from back in the day), but seriously, I just think Rikuo is a better aquatic representation than what Namor could be. Plus Rikuo gets stronger in rain, so he could have a rain dance super to boost his speed and power for a short time.
Plus his ability to summon fishes and frogs and his sonar screeches would just be perfection. In all honesty I just want a lesser known Darkstalkers character and I thimk Rikuo would be the best option for that. Also I'd love to see him 3D rendered.

Edward Falcon;

My boy Edward Falcon, the main protagonist of the seemingly forgotten Power Stone series. A boxer hailing from the fictional town Londo he would make an exceptional balanced fighter who'd be able to transform into his power change android form for his specials filling the screen with missles (since Dr. Doom may be out being a FF character lol). His double and rocket jumps would also make him a character with fantastic air dash mobility, which would be great to see for diversities sake. And come on, they use infinity stones in this game and he is from a game called Power Stone, the story writes itself, let's get this franchise resurrected!!

Honorable Mentions: Monster Hunter/Felyne, Leon Kennedy, Someone from Breath of Fire, John Talbain, Sigma, and Proto Man.

Marvel Side;

So since Disney hates money, it is fair to say that X-Men and Fantastic 4 characters won't be in this, at least not initially, probably in a season 2 type deal they'll come back, but who knows I may be wrong. But because of this, I am keeping my list mainly in line with the MCU.

Moon Knight;

Perhaps not the most well known Marvel character, Moon Knight has been around since the 70s, and I'd love for him to get more love by making an appearance in this game, I mean just look at how much popularity rose for Task Master when he was revealed in 3. Moon Knight AKA Marc Spector, is a skilled combatant with a history of boxing and military training making him a proficient hand to hand figther and has an array of throwing weapons to boot. His super human abilities only increase with the moon's different cycles, so I think he'd make a fun character with an interesting backstory and design.

Scarlet Witch;

Wanda Maximoff AKA Scarlet Witch has recently had a huge jump in popularity with her representation in the MCU, and despite Disney and Marvel trying to erase her linage to the amazingly cool Magneto (whom I hope also makes a return) she has enough personality and power to shine on her own. I mean just imagine how much potential her hexes could have in a fighting game, setting up traps and combos with her hex bolts and hex spheres, throwing out mid range explosive hexes similar to Dormammu's pillars in Marvel 3. Not to mention in her current comics iteration she is now also able to use more advanced witchcraft which could allow for more creative combos and supers. And no, her inclusion in this list has nothing to do with the fact that she was played by Elizabeth Olsen whom I find very attractive <3 lol.

Vision;

Originally an alien in his comic debut, Vision later became re-imagined to be an android and member of the avengers, and since his apperance in the MCU, he's also quickly stolen the hearts of many fans and a certain Scarlett Witch (in the comics at least). Now in the comics Vision's attacks and strength are gathered by his solar jewel on his forehead, allowing him to discharge various types of beams and blasts as well as allowing him to become intangible or extraordinarily massive, he does the 2 latter abilities by manipulating his density, which is what also allows him to fly. However, this game being so heavily influenced by the MCU and Infinity Stones, I wonder how this will work out, would he have his original solar jewel or will he always posses an infinity stone throughout the game. Hmmm...

Black Panther;

Speaking of characters growing in popularity since their appearance in the MCU, T'Challa, the Black Panther is pretty much a shoe in at this point, but even so I thought I'd mention him on this list. The king of Wakanda himself is quick, nimble and a close range fighter, with some fearsome vibranium claws, he would be the perfect "replacement"/improvement to Wolverine, should he not be in this game, but don't get me wrong Panther wouldn't be a shoto of Wolvie, with his vast collection of magical artifacts and advanced technology he could become one of the most versatile brawlers in this game. I for one would love to see what they do with his moveset.

Green Goblin;

And for last, but certainly not least, I want to see the Green Goblin aka Norman Osborn, one of the most Iconic Spiderman villains ever, and basically Marvel's Joker. I have been wanting GG since they announced MvC3, and now with Spidey's re-introduction into the Cinematic universe I feel it's a safe bet to get some classic Spider Man villains in this game, let's be honest this series needs mroe playable villains, and who better than the Green Goblin? His athletic prowess coupled with his insanity would make for great movement and banter, and all his gadgets and bombs would create a very fun and diverse moveset. Also his Goblin Glider would be a great super, having him zip across the screen impaling his foes. Come on, get him in please.

Honorable Mentions: Falcon, Dare Devil, Spider-Gwen, Vulture, Groot, and Loki

Phew, and with that I conclude this wishlist of characters, thanks for being so patient and sticking with me throughout this long post readers, please tell me, are you excited for the new Marvel? Are you pringles up in here? #MAHVEL hahaha, if so I'd love to hear who you would like to see in this game, are you like me and want more obscure capcom characters and newer avengers, or do you want something else?

Thanks again for reading this all the way through everyone, now all aboard the hype train to 2017, it's Mahvel time again!!

Much Love,
Wachi

Wachi Rants: I am done talking about Election

WARNING: This rant will be quick and probably full of grammatical errors, but it is late and I don't care.

Ok Readers...OK I'm tired, and this is literally the last time I will say anything about it. Trump was created by the very people who are showing the most hate right now, those people once fighting for love and tolerance are being more hateful and intolerant than Trump ever was, and not just friends from the states but people here in Costa Rica too, How the hell can looking for a silver lining in this situation be equated to telling all women, lgbt, blacks, and latinos that we hate them? How does that make sense? If Hillary had won and people were upset by it would you be appreciative of them telling you and your hopeful attitude, that you were a criminal sympathizer? No, of course not, Trump won, he made a pretty neutral victory speech where he seemed to call out for unity in a very mature way, and all I see are protests and desires for assassination attempts and just more division caused by the PEOPLE rather than the man himself. Throughout the entire dang election period people and the media have been force-feeding Clinton down our throats, and that YOU HAVE TO VOTE, MAKE THE CHANGE, CHOOSE YOUR CANDIDATE, and guess what people did but because it wasn't who YOU wanted you are breaking down everyone and everything like a hateful toddler with a tantrum. I thought it was a bit scary and uncertain that Trump won, but now I think that for a different reason, not because of him, but because of what the sore losers are doing and saying. People are literally destroying friendships because someone voted 3rd party, are you kidding me? The people screeching RACIST to anyone who didn't vote for Obama are now angrily spreading fear and hate because Trump is #NotMyPresident. Maybe this win was good and necessary as it gives us all a good chance to really look at ourselves and what we have become, we created this man with this attitude we hold, whether we want to admit it or not. I was hoping people would give it a rest after the polls came in but no, if anything people have gotten louder and not in a constructive way. If you can't be a good person because who you wanted to win didn't, then you probably weren't all that good a person to begin with. I'm mad right now, seeing all this hate, this real hate. Lastly, and I have to say this because it irks me to no end that it is being thrown around, Trump winning does not mean your future little girl can never be president, are you kidding me!? Hillary didn't lose because she was a woman, she was corrupt, a repetitious liar, had multiple FBI cases open during the campaign period, if she was a man people would also be turned off. Women in the west can be anything these days, and you know it, don't pretend for a second that this was some sexist attack, not every difference in opinion is a racist, sexist, or homophobic attack. People will keep talking about the election I get it, it's the hot topic, but if this is how you take a loss, I'm scared to see how much more divisive we would be with a win, under the guise of tolerance.... smh #AngryRantDone

*Exhales* I feel fine now, anyone want to go out for pizza?

Listen, in the end Trump, Clinton, or anyone for that matter can't dictate the kinds of things I want to accomplish and the good I aspire to do with those in my life and community. Perhaps people would rather be doomsayers and think of the worst, but I rather keep my head up high in this burdensome and stressful situation. This world is evil, that's not a secret to anyone, but that doesn't mean we have to bend to be evil too.

Much love,

Wachi

MS Paint Mondays 56

Good Morning Readers! Hope you are doing well this fine beginning of the week, my many blessings come your way as we begin this new weekly journey with another MS PAINT MONDAY!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* So my co-worker is out of the office today therefore I have not only my occasional workload but his as week, so this week's post may be a bit short.

* This makes me think of teamwork, even though it isn't always fun, as I can see today with all the extra work, it is also important in life to have good team work.

* Looking at society's do it yourself mantra that everyone seems to be spewing (unless they feel oppressed by something then suddenly unity is demanded from everyone.) team work is becoming a more situational commodity.

* Doing everything on your own all the time, though impressive also adds a lot of stress and sometimes an air of superiority to a person. Now, let's say that you are all good right now, with everything you built yourself, with no one else, then you will be less likely to ask for help should you ever actually need it. So what would be a small stumble, could become a cataclysmic fall if we close the doors to offering help from another.

* Then again you also need to be smart when you work with a team, that it be a versatile and responsible team members, if you chose people who don't share the same passion/dedication for your project or goal like you do, don't blame other people, blame yourself for joining that team. (If this is a team you were assigned to, then suck it up and make yourself shine, as annoying as that may be.)

As I write this I can see my e-mails filling in with double work load, but before I bounce I give you "Wii Celeste",  a casual testament to when team work can be done for fun, 4 years ago, me and 2 other random co-workers got a paid day off for winning a Wii tournament, none of us were particularly amazing at games but we pulled through, that said you never know, perhaps a pair of randoms may be the best motivators in a pool of people. In the wise words of The Shoveler, "Teamwork, YES!"

As always, I hope this exercise helps you ease that weekly case of the Mondays and inspires you to start creating new things, and really help expand the creative construct that is your brain! I encourage you to share/send me your own MS Paint Monday creations, if I get enough I plan to do an MS Paint showcase at the end of every week so we can enjoy each other's styles and imaginations.

Much Love, Wachi

MS Paint Mondays 55

Good Evening Readers! It's October 10th and you know what that means!! Uplifting Umbertaversary everyone, also Canadian thanksgiving is you are feeling more grateful than not haha. Anyhow, it's late late so let's get on with the post, welcome back to MS PAINT MONDAYS!!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* Umbertaversary is to celebrate an individual who permeates ungratefulness, Canadian Thanksgiving is a day to celebrate what you are grateful for, the juxtaposition of these days just make today fun for me.

* My girlfriend has displayed the spirit of thanksgiving by yelling at me for stealing mashed potatoes from her... in her dreams!! Lol you hear about couples getting mad at each other when they cheat on each other in their dreams but I wasn't prepared for gluttonous dream me to anger her so hahahaha.

* To be honest today was a very short but not very inspiring day, I guess we should take this Monday to renew our creativity, especially since yesterday's Pres Debate was more mindless noise with buzz words sprinkled on top to sway people's opinions... seeing as the media has been ultra predictable and society has been eating every word they serve them as truth, let's celebrate by not doing that and thinking for ourselves for once.

Well, to be honest in the spirit of today's normalcy I decided to draw something simple yet my own, and call it "Rivdagon", this is a simple almost Pokemon-esque creature, perhaps it can evolve and become greater, something we wish would happen with society thee days, for them to expand themselves without following things blindly. Anyhow, remember to be thankful for the things you do and believe in.

Wachi Rant's: BLM is domestic Terrorism (These Clowns!!)

*Deep Breath* Ok... Readers I am sure that this is a divisive topic, and I wouldn't blame you if you stopped reading anything I post after this, but I need to get this off my chest as it is something that has been expanding more and more each day and I can't keep quiet about it any longer, and that is my views on this ever expanding movement called Black Lives Matter or BLM.

Now what is BLM you may ask? It is an international movement created by the African American community to bring to light violence against blacks / Police brutality and any systemic racism. Now as any movement it was triggered into inception after a specific event, this being the shooting of Trayvon Martin. Now let me be real with you, Trayvon Martin did not deserve to die, and I am outraged that his life was lost, and George Zimmerman's acquittal of said crime is disgusting, BUT what happened with this? The media sprung into action and made it a white man vs black teen narrative; got to get those white devils am I right? But then we find out that Zimmerman is not white, but in fact Latino, and how do they fix their mistake? They make it about race. But there was never any evidence at all that Zimmerman's actions were driven by race, race was not the issue, but oh man did the media want it to be. Fun fact: Trayvon though not doing anything despicable at the time of his death did have a record of carrying marijuana and stealing jewelry from a neighbor's home. However Florida's justice system took leniency towards his crimes and simply had him suspended from school. If he had gone to a correctional facility he may still be alive today, just saying.

Anyhow, let's fast forward a year and we find ourselves in the Ferguson riots, this is where BLM finally became the famous domestic terrorist organization we know today (That's right, I said it!). This was born over the famous Michael Brown shooting, where the famous mantra "Hands up, don't shoot" was born. Now, here is where I have a problem with this, BLM loves to tell you Michael brown had his hands up, and then was shot in the back as he was running away, killed "execution style" by the racist police. Now the autopsy report doesn't show any bullet wounds entering from the back, and multiple witnesses claim that Michael Brown charged at the officer to steal his gun away, that is not hands up. But BLM shuts their ears at this fact because it doesn't help their racist police narrative. Are there racist police officers? Yes. Does police brutality need to be addressed? HELL YES! Is this the way to do it? Burning stores down and rioting like animals, making up lies? NO.

Now BLM doesn't end there, not at all, they continue rioting and speaking out because they aren't happy, after their famous hashtag hit the scene, #BlackLivesMatter, some people corrected them and began trending #AllLivesMatter, oh man, did that set them off. AllLivesMatter is low key racism folks, because even though all lives matter they want you to know that Black Lives Matter too, or in this case they are the center right now so shut up. Ignore the fact that more white teens have been shot by the police than black, police officers are racist white devils and they need to be eliminated. Now I hear someone shouting, "well what about Black on Black crime, the percentage of blacks killing each other in areas like Detroit and Chicago is the highest rate homicides in the entire USA?? What is BLM doing about those tragedies?" Well, my dear reader, don't you know that by just saying Black on Black crime, you are not stating a legitimate statistic but in fact proving that systematic racism is a thing, I mean come on.... Haha no, but seriously readers, BLM's blindness to the fact that statistically speaking, the people who are most racist towards blacks are other blacks is astonishing.

Black lives only matter to BLM when they are taken by a white man. Don't believe me? Where was their outcry when shootings in Ferguson killed 9 year old Jamala Bolden? There wasn't any, because she wasn't killed by a white man, it was an accident...

Let's look at a tragedy this year,  the Orlando gay bar shooting, does anyone remember what happened at the vigil on a college campus? Well I will tell you what happened, a BLM member stole the mic and said wonderful things like "How she was scared to talk because of all the white people." and how she "Wished that many people would attend her BLM protest meetings". Like what the hell?? This is a memorial, 50 people died, and all you care about is taking jabs at white people and pushing your agendas, BLM makes me sick. The way the blame ALL white people because their ancestors ALL owned slaves, let me tell you something, not ALL whites owned slaves, the ones that did were democrats, you know the current BLM party because "Trump is racist", not a Trump supporter btw, but he has never said anything explicitly racist, wanting to control illegals and possible terrorists threats isn't a racist statement, and if you read that and think he is saying, eliminate all Mexicans and Muslims, then maybe YOU are the racist one... *Ahem* where was I? Oh yes, not only that but some blacks and native Americans also owned slaves, so shouldn't we do some mandatory DNA tests so we can also  shun the correct black people hm? I mean if you want to get reaaaal technical and ridiculous, we could say Egyptians are the true slavers as they enslaved the Jews waaaay before America did it. But wait, Egypt is in Africa, and BLM are African-Americans, so that would mean many of the current BLM people could also have Slaver DNA, oh no no no forget I said anything, that was just my inherent racism as an Asian/Latino.

Still not convinced? What about when BLM rioted in Milwaukee when they hunted whites for simply being white, check out the link: Kill the White devils!

These people are twisted and the real racists, I will be honest, racism has never been completely eradicated in human history, but think back not 10 years ago, and remember that black and white relations where never this dire, we are regressing back to the civil rights times because of BLM creating this race war. They want whites to suffer, whites to pay, and whites cannot say anything because "The oppressor can never be the oppressed". I am astonished with the hate in this group and yet they keep asking to be treated with love. I don't know about you readers but I am scared that these scare tactics are working, BLM is the KKK for white people, only difference is, society loves them, and a lot of my white and light skin pigmented friends are pushing this agenda on FB daily, but I personally have zero black friends who support this noise and you know what happens to them? They get called Uncle Toms and ostracized for being "brain washed", are you kidding me, what is this cult like mentality. People with this white guilt and these BLM are a danger to our society, and if you think I am being a hateful racist for pointing it out, you are part of the problem in my opinion, no hate readers but this is a scary movement.

Need more? What about the Charlotte riots just last month, where BLM rioters were quoted saying "We cannot cohabitate with white people anymore." after another black man was shot and killed by the police, funny enough he was killed by a black man, but they just left that out and kept harping on it being racist. This is a regressive movement people, they want us back to the time of segregation, and they only ever attack white people. Look at Chinese markets/restaurants for example, they ONLY/or at least 99.9% of the time hire Chinese people, why aren't they called racist? Huh? They aren't giving blacks an equal employment opportunity isn't that bad? Maybe it's not the best example but think about it. BLM loves screeching that there is no such thing as reverse racism, and they are 100% correct, it's just called racism, and anyone can be targeted, yes even white people.

Don't even get me started on the Korryn Gaines videos, she got herself killed, being black had nothing to do with it, watch the videos yourself if you don't believe me, she brainwashed her child into hating the police and then used him as a human shield while she pointed a shotgun at police, and ya'll still think it was because police are racist. Society makes me sick, but BLM is not the medicine it needs, if anything it is just a symptom that is shows us it is only getting worse; don't believe me? Please, comment 1 thing that Black Lives Matter has done to improve black lives, just one.

These people are clowns, which reminds me, what is going on with those creepy killer clowns North America? Are we going to start seeing #ClownLivesMatter now? Lol it reminds me of that old episode of Dexter's Laboratory where he gets bitten by a clown and torments people at night only to be defeated by his sister who uses Mime powers. So maybe we need some good natured mimes in order to fend off these killer clowns... or would that be racist since mimes are white and clowns are people of color? LOLOL! Come on, that was golden..

In conclusion readers BLM is a violent, entitled group made up of middle class, "educated" black people and their posse of white/light pigmented followers with internalized guilt and "privilege". The sad truth is the people who are most holding black people back are black people themselves, and until they can see that it is not genetics, or racism, but their own cultural way of living that is keeping so many of them down, then we will never get any true growth or change, and if you think that is racist f me to say, well then, that's too bad and I wish you the best.

Much Love,
Wachi.

MS Paint Mondays 54

Good Morning Readers! My apologies for the Wednesday paint, but mid week is better than nothing eh? I have just been so incredibly busy lately and have honetly made it difficult on myself to balance life out for a bit, but I am back, and better late then never for MS Paint Mon---WEDNESDAY!!!!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* So with the world currently transfixed on the Presidential debates, as if there was any real choice in who the next president will be (seriously, the media and big government has been pushing for Hillary from the start but people refuse to see it; Trump isn't even trying to win I mean come on!) I have just been rolling my eyes so far back it hurts.

* Anyhow seeing how it is basically Trump and Hillary taking shots at each other like lame elementary chool bullies, it remind me of my own would be elementary school bullies, Erfan and Shoaib. (Pronounced Show-bee)

* Perhaps not as ridiculous as the current presidential mess going on in the USA, they were pretty stupid in their own right, so much so that they were literally my first weekly schoolyard comic. There I made a bunch of my own I guess what you would now refer to as memes for these kids and it garnered quite a following back then, even to this day I still get friends on FB asking me for more Erfan and Shoaib work.

* This just goes to show, how important it is to build character when people try to bully you, look at their faults and play off of them in your own way, kind of like Hillary and Trump are scripted to do it seems lol. Don't let the emotions of this debate and the ideologies being thrown around divide you more from your friends and colleagues, can't you see it's what the government wants?

With all that said and done here is an old school drawing of my old comic book renditions of Erfan and Shoaib, which is lovingly titled "Erfan and Shoaib", I know my creativity surpasses even my own mind sometimes, haha.  Anyhow, Erfan always had a thing for styling his hair in school, and his style went from semi-Elvis like to odd hedge hair phase throughout our school years, and Shoaib, well Shoaib was just weird, and dumb, so in my comic he was simply obsessed with licking things, in this case Erfan's hair with the use of Easy Cheese as hair product... which come to think of it may also be how Trump styles his hair... we have come full circle!!

Melancholy Moments; The Guilt of the Flesh

Hey Readers,

This is more of a post for my own internal turmoils, but I thought I'd write it out in case it may help any of you throughout life's at times difficult moments. I don't particularly want to make this into a series, as no one likes to feel down in the dumps, and I rather my blog be of a more ridiculous/cheerful nature overall, but life isn't always this way so at the same time I think it may be healthy to do this sort of post every once in a while.

The topic of today, is that of guilt, now for those of you who have experienced true guilt in your lives you know how horrid an emotion that is, it is an emotion that seems born of the devil himself, one of constant inner and outer attacks that you can't seem to escape. That my readers is the emotion that has been plaguing me as of late. Now before going into my personal guilt, I thought it may be more interesting and helpful to dig into what guilt is in a psychological/emotional sense.

Now first and foremost, the definition of guilt is as follows; "Guilt is a cognitive or an emotional experience that occurs when a person believes or realizes—accurately or not—that he or she has compromised his or her own standards of conduct or has violated a moral standard and bears significant responsibility for that violation"
Guilt can be used and manifested in a few different ways,  it can be a good way to make someone do something for or to you as a sense of obligation; though it is honestly not the healthiest of motivators, guilt is often grouped up with the emotion of sadness, but it is more akin to those emotions of agony, loneliness, and self-hatred. Now why would we feel guilt? Well like any number of emotions there can be more than one catalyst, in fact Freud mentioned that there are 5 MAIN causes for guilt. Let's look into those real quick;

1. Guilty because of something YOU did;

Perhaps this is the most obvious reason as to why we may feel guilty, and it certainly is a factor in to why I feel guilty myself. Now as we saw in the definition this can include harm to yourself or others, whether psychological or physical, a break in your own moral code/standards, guilty over your own thoughts and behaviors, in doing things you perhaps swore you would never do, such as drinking, drugs, lying, cheating, dancing the hokey pokey in your underwear in front of your in-laws, etc. In fact guilt is the appropriate emotion in these sorts of cases, and if you don't feel some sort of remorse then that may be a sign of sociopathy or psycopathy.

What's hard about this emotion is it locks us up and allows other sad emotions to come into our open wound caused by guilt, we have to understand that an action has happened, it is in the past, it has occured and we are not able to change it. You need to accept and admit the fact that this happened, humble yourself and apologize to all those affected, and then remove whatever stumbling block brought you down this path so that you can avoid it from happening again. Learn to do what I at this moment find myself to weak to do, which is forgive yourselves for what you have done after others have done so, free yourself and become better. Falling is easy, getting up is harder but it is better than beating yourself down further. This segways into the very similar second type of guilt catalyst...

2. Guilty for something you didn't do, but WANT to do;

This is pretty self-explanatory but unlike the above you haven't done anything yet, but are thinking about committing an act that would deviate from your moral code, maybe thought of a scheme to benefit yourself despite knowing it would harm your colleagues, or maybe even mentally lusted for someone other than your spouse/S.O. This is a tough type of guilt to handle. On one hand you didn't commit any atrocious acts, so you are technically still in a good moral standing, but the fact that you are contemplating these acts in such frequency and detail already begins to violate standards you have set for yourself.

There are 2 forms to deal with this, you can repress them in your mind and being, though this isn't a very satisfactory solution as it could very well overflow and lead you to actions you would normally not do because of all those bottled up desires; or you can acknowledge these thoughts and form a conscious effort to reduce them, remind yourself your values and nip the thoughts in the bud as soon as they surge, this is a practice that needs one to really be committed to stopping the same. This leads us on to the next type of guilt catalyst;

3. Guilty for something you THINK you did;

As much of the unhappiness and frustration we as humans put ourselves through, this type of guilt is caused by our own irrational thoughts and views about situations. Honestly the mind is a powerful thing, if you honestly just think you did something wrong, you can honestly experience just as much guilt as if you actually preformed the act itself. A common  thought induced guilt is the thought of karma or jinxing people by talking bad about them behind their backs, and should that ill wished comment you may actually come to pass you may feel completely responsible despite not actually doing anything to cause it. We as people are intelligent to know we are being illogical, but this wretched emotion makes it hard to rid yourself of the belief that you were involved in this misfortune.

Honestly for this, before you go accusing yourself of any wrongdoing, understand if the wrongdoing you believe transpired actually transpired, be centered and don't distort events to be against you, reality checks can be life savers in these moments of self-guilt.

4. Guilty that you didn't do ENOUGH to help someone;

*Deep Breath* Okay readers if I may be frank with you, this is a guilt I put on my shoulders in an almost weekly basis and it sucks, but I do it almost automatically. Perhaps you have an ill family member or a friend going through hard times. Let's say you have given hours of your free time to assist those people, you have made sacrifices to show them you care, but unfortunately you have your own personal obligations that you need to fulfill. This is where the Guilt can start to creep in, where you put an enormous burden of yourself as some mystical problem solver where YOU need to find better ways to help them until the toll on your person gets to you.  I believe the proper term for this type of guilt is "Compassion Fatigue" this is common among those with big hearts and a predisposition to help others, but this mixture of emotional burnout and self-guilt for not doing more is dangerous to the individual's mental health.

It is important to understand anything you do to help someone makes a positive change, and if you need to make sacrifices to help more for your own conscious then do so tactfully, but don't layer guilt on top of it, as I mentioned in the very beginning, guilt isn't a healthy motivator and will only serve to drain us more.

5. Guilty that you're doing BETTER than someone else;

I will be honest with you all friends, this is one I am not too familiar with as I have my own internal issues regarding my personal growth, but I thought I would cover it anyways. This is the guilt that is commonly known as "Survivors Guilt" this can be outliving comrades, family, or other loved ones while you survived the same or worse, I know my Grandfather had this when my Grandmother passed, he had gotten any and all surgeries with high risk and was still strong, whereas my Grandmother only had one hospitalization that led to her death months later, I still recall the hurt in his voice when he muttered "Why couldn't it have been me, I was under the knife so many times, why my Rosemary?"; It broke my heart to hear such words from such a strong man that is my grandfather, but I can understand how that can become a guilt.

To be honest this guilt isn't just in surviving death but maybe just doing extremely well in comparison to family or close friends, this can create a guilt that in order to "protect" their friends and families from disappointment, the person themselves becomes self-destructive; logic dictates that our loved ones want us to succeed, but guilt makes us lost to this logic and therefore we plummet.

The best way to overcome this guilt is to be proud of your endeavors and how glad you are that those you love invested time in helping you get to where you are. Remind yourself, even if it is hard, that your own failure won't bring someone back, not will it magically makes those around you more successful. Give yourself the shot at happiness that you deserve.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There's no doubt that this is a complex emotion with several triggers, but I hope that semi-long discussion was more interesting than boring for you readers, as it encompasses what a horrid emotion this is and how I do not wish it upon any of you, even if I myself find myself ensnared in its illogical web at this moment.

I want to talk about my situation again as a form of therapy for myself and maybe be of assistance for others. Readers, I am a firm believer that our curiosity can cause us to stumble more times than it can help us flourish, and stumbling isn't that big of a deal in itself so long as we push forward, it is when you cause another, someone close to you to stumble because of your own actions where the guilt stings the hardest. I am of the type of people where I could fall a millions times and fail at life and wouldn't care as much as if those I care about get hurt in some way, especially if I inadvertently caused this pain. This is where I want to warn about the flesh and the guilt that it can bring. They say every human has 2 wolves living within them, one of flesh and one of spirit, they are both hungry and constantly fighting, you may be asking, well which one will win? The answer my readers is simple, the winner is the one we chose to feed.

That said we need to be careful of the things in this world readers, I learned the dangers of the flesh and anonymity on the internet,  without going into details I was lured into a very questionable situation disguised as a friendly chat, what's worse is I could see it going south, but it is as if my mind simply stepped outside for a moment and my fleshly wolf began to feast on the opportunity, by the time I came to I realized what I was about to do, I had already gone too far and despite the disgusting nature of my actions I am thankful i had the sense to snap back and completely remove this temptation from my life, now I felt like garbage, I felt horrible, but I thought it's done, I will learn from this, I need to be harder on myself.  Here is the part where my soul gets crushed readers, the app forwarded my disguising behavior to the person I love most in this world, and my world shattered. I already hated my guts, to have her just receive the same, I betrayed myself and even worse I betrayed her.

Currently my depicting of myself is worse than fecal matter, I am like the dying worm being suffocated by said fecal matter, and I want to warn you to avoid putting yourself in these types of situations where the flesh begins to dictate your actions instead of your spirit. Impulsive behavior leads to harm and worse guilt, which we have learned to be one of the most self-destructive emotions. I implore you to be wise, and to better yourselves, and if someone fails you, forgive them, and if you fail someone  admit your flaw and humbly request forgiveness. Know the worth of forgiveness readers, don't be a merciless judge because you too can also become guilty by manipulating those who already feel this curse of an emotion.
Guilt can bring out the best of our worst.

I truly wish you all a wonderful weak as I try and rebuild myself, as forgiveness is also for one's self. People may not always believe you, but know that sometimes our carnal desires can literally overtake us for a time, and if we are lucky when can get out before we truly go passed the point of no return. Be wise my friends, be forgiving, and know your value, no matter what you have done, you have some value, use it to become a better you.

Much Love,

Wachi

MS Paint Mondays 53

Good Morning Readers! Happy late Costa Rican Independence day! Hope you all had a great weekend and are happy to be back, I myself had been out on vacation a few weeks back then I got really sick, and then my work computer's motherboard died on me so it has been a hell of a few weeks, but I am back for MS PAINT MONDAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* Today I am melancholy, but will keep this post positive if I can.

* Life can be a cruel game where money is the prize, even if you know money is trouble and don't want to indulge in it as much as others seem to do it is something one truly needs to live with so we can't completely eradicate it from our lives. Which is fine this forces us to learn how be focused and balanced, which if you know me, you know I struggle to be both things as both things contradict each other, but it is something we should strive for in anything we love and need in this life.

* The dangerous side of money is when you become entangled by it, needing more, wanting more, willing to do anything for more. People do all kinds of stupid irrational things for this evil love. They risk it all by gambling, or get themselves in debt trying to buy money saving get rich quick schemes. This world's reckless want for money has even managed to destroy the family unit.

* Think about it, how can it be that at one time only the man worked and everything was great, over 50% of married couples were without debt, now the world has us all working and there doesn't appear to be enough to go around, if anything taxes just continue to rise...

* We must be careful in what we put our efforts into, whether it be money, love, stature, fame, glory. It is as they say, the heart is treacherous and we must not listen to it, but at the same time, the heart is YOU, it is who we are, and if we feed it the wrong things the treachery may rear its ugly head. It's as I say, clear focus, balance it, keep your heart leveled. (Easier said than done I know).

With that said here is a light-hearted paint called "Slowbro gets Cash Fast" where I use a silly jingle of those old school cash point commercials about getting getting cash in a flash, or if you know your pokemon facts, HM-05. I felt this was a nice way to depict how even those of us who aren't as easily swayed to the fast paced money grubbing life can be ensnared by the right net. Be careful readers, be smart and stay creative!
