MS Paint Mondays 29

Yo readers!! It's a new week, and that means it's time for a new paint! Hope everyone has been doing well and MS Painting every Monday as we start it all again on this fine new day!

--Thoughts of the day--

* Today was honestly quite relaxing, which is not usually how Mondays tend to be, however, today was a day I could think back to a simpler time, High school, and despite the fact that I was battling my own demons at the time, I could doodle a lot more too.

* I used to doodle all the time in High school and even make lame comics from time to time, nothing spectacular mind you, just a way to pass the time or even remember key points.

* What I loved the most from doing this however was when others would draw characters too because of how enjoyable I made it, therefore despite never being the best artistic wise I loved having that small contribution to creativity for those around me, it's also part of the main reason I started this blog and the idea for MS Paint Mondays!

Therefore this week's paint is my rendition of a friend of mine's creation, simply called "Sam Ryan´s 3!"; now my buddy Sam seemed to enjoy the silly super hero team I had created way back when known as The Losa Brigade (maybe I'll draw them again for you all) and there fore he created his own super trio, starring: Tennis Lad, Suds Man, and Awesome Possum!! Therefore I wanted to take the time to remember these 3 as well as the idea that any idea has the potential to be memorable and great! Despite them only having 2 ¨Issues¨ I will forever remember this trio of crime fighters.

As always, I hope this exercise helps you ease that weekly case of the Mondays and inspires you to start creating new things, and really help expand the creative construct that is your brain! I encourage you to share/send me your own MS Paint Monday creations, if I get enough I plan to do an MS Paint showcase at the end of every week so we can enjoy each other's styles and imaginations.

MS Paint Mondays 28

It's not just MS Paint Monday today folks, it's MLK MS Paint Monday!!! What difference does it make?? None really, but still go hug someone form a different ethnicity today after you finish your daily doodle, okay? OKAY!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* So Martin Luther King Jr. Day is upon us once again and it makes me think; "We sometimes are more accepting to those of a different race than to those of our same race but with different beliefs or interests, why is that?"

* Aside form society becoming more and more butthurt about every little difference in opinion to the point where I don't know how you could avoid becoming an accidental bully from how victimized society has become... it reminds me of my early days at working in my current job, and how I ended up befriending a group of gents that at a more immature time I may have not even tried.

*  Now of course not every group of pals are copies of each other, but there are usually common and core interests that keep the group going, however every once in a while, usually in a work-space where you need to network for your own survival, you could end up with an eclectic crew from time to time, and that isn't exactly a bad thing, in fact it's this type of association (so long as you are sure of yourself and who you are) can help refine you and your tastes as an individual. That said don't ignore the cheery, gloomy, or odd balls out there as with you, they may create an interesting flavor.

This all bring us to today's paint, simply called "Parque De Diversiones" or Amusement Park in Spanish, and though the pic doesn't look like one, since I'm not THAT good at MS Painting lol, well that and because this shows part of the aftermath, the bonding after the rides me and these colleagues made despite being so different at our cores. That dear readers is the message I want to instill in you today.

Fun Fact: Here's a picture from that day 6 years ago. (I'm the tall white pasty one :P)

These "69" Deaths Though!?!

Heeeey Reeeaderssss....

It's been a bit of a gloomy start to 2016 no? I mean losing 2 greats in a single week. Now personally, I am not a huge hashtag RIP celebrity death "bandwagoneer" but these 2 personally cut deep for me personally. To be honest in the last 3 or so years we lost fantastic celebrities/artists in their craft that actually had an impact on me, more so than a simple "Oh, he/she died? That sucks, they were talented and will be missed... blah blah blah" no I'm talking about actually shed a tear (or more) for these losses, the big 2 being Robin Williams, and Satoru Iwata as they both had an huge role in the growth of my own personality, even if I only subtly adopted quirks or inspirations, their presence was always there for me growing up, and it is no different with Bowie and Rickman.

Now Bowie is a humorous, lyrical genius of a man, whose talent oozed like some undiscovered color that could only be found from the farthest reaches of space. I have always dug his vocal abilities, and his artsy tunes. His many personas always shone through with odd splendor throughout the decade, and his unique sound bubbled around me from my late teens to now. I regret never being able to see this man in concert, but his music was always on my playlist. One thing of note is this amazing superstar never let the fame or attention get the better of him. Humility plus unique and incredible talents is a combination that is not only respected but greatly admired. A silver lining to his death, if there is one, would have to be his release of his final studio album "Blackstar" where very reminiscent to Freddie Mercury's song "The Show Must Go On", Bowie's piece, "Lazarus", works as a very artful and self-aware good bye to his fans and loved ones and that's a privilege not many people in showbiz have the opportunity to take.

David Bowie - Lazarus

Thanks Bowie, may you be the Starman we will again one day see...

--

Now as for Rickman, as much as I enjoyed him in "Die Hard" and "Galaxy Quest" my fondest memories of his are the same of many which would be the "Harry Potter" films and his role as Severus Snape, a role he truly became as he would with any. But the significance of this wasn't the fact that I am a harry Potter fan, all the contrary I am more of a Potter-noob if I say so myself, but his role as Snape holds emotional value to me, because it was the last movie marathon I watched with my long distance girlfriend, and I really appreciated the complexity of his character and watching him evolve as such, and just as I was beginning to get more into him as an actor and his works, he too is taken away from us. It's all just happening very early on in the year and very fast, one can't adjust so easily to the loss.

You may not have made it to 80 but you will always be remembered for your kindness and the iconic characters that you portrayed. Good bye Professor...

Seriously though, 2 British super stars dying at the same age of 69 because of cancer, and in the same week no less!? What the heck is going on... *sigh* I feel the number 69 will lose it's provocative double meaning in turn for a cancerous one.... I truly need a moment.

We lost 2 otherworldly talents, legends, and men... Thanks for visiting us♥

Wachi

MS Paint Mondays 27

It's time for the 27th MS Paint Monday!!!! Are you excited readers!? Well you should be because Wachi has just invited you to "Play" MS Paint Monday!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* So not sure if you could feel that shiver down your spine with the brief intro, but I am tired of social media such as Facebook where people feel safe behind their screens that they can insult your intelligence by constantly inviting you to lame facebook games.

* Though they keep changing I still remember the spawn of this evil began with the annoyance known as Farmville, which then birthed dozens of other "ville" like titles that plagued our notifications for years to come.

*So come on 2016, no more lame game invites!! I believe in you!!!!

With that in mind, I created my thought for just how much of a plague this was by creating this week's paint "Triple FV Threat", which shows just how dangerous farms can be to the inexperienced "player", now I hear you FarmvilleFan69, you are mumbling to yourself saying stuff like "Well I mean you can't get swine/bird flu and mad cow disease from a Facebook game I mean come on." Well what about computer viruses huh? What about virtual birdflu for your poor hard working computer buddy? APPLIANCES HAVE FEELINGS TOO JERK, DIDN'T YOU EVER WATCH THE BRAVE LITTLE TOASTER!?!? *scoffs*

Wachi's Nonsense: The Curious (Frangipani) Caterpillar

Ohhh, readers!!! Have you all ever had a simple encounter in life? An encounter others would consider trivial, meaningless, or even disregard it as encounter at all? If so, don't you find those can sometimes be the most enriching? That is to say, the simplest of events in ones life can sometimes be a key to a much larger mental door, yes, a door you didn't even know was there because most of the time we leave that key there as many others wouldn't have found it particularly interesting... this, this is the story of that "key";

<-- This here is my key of the day... it all started 25 or so minutes ago from the posting of this blog; you see, a friend of mine and I, we ran into this funkadelic caterpillar on the way to get some breakfast and we couldn't help but theorize what it was doing so far down the sidewalk. So using the scientific method I hypothesized that it is either A. Rebelling against its momma caterpillar/moth and proving to her that he can make it in the big city.
B. Is going to a bug rave which explains the sweet yellow rings.
Or
C. He has no brain and is therefore only mindlessly wandering... a theory I quickly discredited as I watched the overly popular science documentary titled "A Bug's Life".

Anyhow, by the end of it we ended up getting a leafy twig and helped escort Ramon (it's what I just now have decided to name him) to the nearest patch of green where his mother probably gave him an ear(antenna?)ful about how he cowardly came back home without being able to survive the city, completely disbelieving his tale of how 2 giants and their teleporting twig bringing him back against his will, as most mothers would.

Ahhh, how blessed we are to have met such a deep and curious little critter. To think, maybe we were fated to meet in order for each of us to understand just how many layers there are to this world we share.

I hope you, like Ramon, can find that special patch of soil that are your dreams in order to sprout your metaphorical moth wings and reach a new plane of existence known simply as your dreams ♥

Much Love,
Wachi

MS Paint Mondays 26

Happy New year all!! For many vacations are ending, the slow relaxing days are speeding back into gear, and now it's the first Monday of the new year (rhymes!!) and as such we are going to start it right!! 2016 MS Paint Monday!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* So I couldn't help but wonder, is New Years like Earth's birthday? Because 2016 isn't an accurate age, however maybe during the time it was being created it was like a fetus so this is a correct age in terms of it being fully born maybe?

* But what about Earth day? Or is Earth day like the equivalent of Mother's/Father's day but for the planet, where we just appreciate it?

*I wonder if other planets celebrate their own New Years/Birthdays... yeah...

With that said, today's paint is plain and simple yet nostalgic to me "Alien Hominid" it's a fanart of a very fun game of the same name. But more than that it's about an alien who crash lands on earth and we attack it causing him to retaliate and kill our secret government operatives, also he collects hats... The way I see it, maybe we are all aliens to our own lives, but with this new year we should stop killing those we don't trust and collecting hats to up our vanity, and instead, share our hats to attempt to give a better view to those we once found insufferable. #NewYearNewMe
