MS Paint Mondays 59

Whazzat? An MS Paint Monday actually on a Monday for once? I know readers I must be crazy! But seriously work has been kicking my butt and leaving me mentally exhausted, but I wanted to get this out for you all today, so let me just get to it, and let's MS PAINT MONDAY!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* First and foremost, my absolutely beautiful girlfriend is finally coming to visit me after so long, her flight arrives tomorrow and I am beyond excited, and I will try not to gush over it TOO much but just expect a lot about this in the coming posts (if I post often enough to stay relevant anyhow lol)

* Second, today my dear cousin, basically younger brother Victor turns 18 today, that said he is now a MAN, and I can't call him kid anymore which kind of rustles my jimmies since now I feel older by compariosn, ah, how time changes.

* Third, thank God it is spring break in the USA, my education accounts which were flooding my e-mail inbox with issues are now gone... for the week, but that is still very glorious, as always you gotta appreciate the little things!

Now, I can't complain, I am pretty jovial today and that feeling is loosly transalted into today's paint titled "Happy Birthday Chama", now in case you aren't aware Chama is a Venezuelan slang term for lady or girl, and it was a very good friend of mine's birthday a while back and she was raised in that side of the world, therefore the nickname, she loves cats (just like my GF and Cousin) and "Where The Wild Things Are", so with that I just wanted to add to the celebratory atmosphere I have built in my aura or whatever today.

As always, I hope this exercise helps you ease that weekly case of the Mondays and inspires you to start creating new things, and really help expand the creative construct that is your brain! I encourage you to share/send me your own MS Paint Monday creations, if I get enough I plan to do an MS Paint showcase at the end of every week so we can enjoy each other's styles and imaginations.

MS Paint Monday 58

Sorry I'm late readers but I'm here! I AM HERE!!! I know it's Wed, and I said I'd try to be more conscistent with this, but I just got a new account assigned to me at work this week, and free time has been ridiculously scarce for me, regardless let's get on with that mid-week MS PAINT MONDAY!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* So I guess first and foremost, I should say happy international woman's day to my female readers, I have great respect for women, being raised by a single mother, I got to witness first hand how strong and nurturing women can be, but also how difficult such a life can be. I honestly think it is sick how society and hollywood glamorizes and parades single mothers.

* Listnen, if that is your situation, I am not belittling you, just from my own experience a lot of that extra stress caused a strain between me and my mother for 7 years. I thank God above that I was able to finally reconnect with her 2 years ago, and our relationship has never been healthier. But I don't wish single motherhood on anyone, it is a harsh life, and I am beyond blessed I was able to have as much as I did growing up.

* Now, don't take this as me attacking women and defending men either, look I know those old school "I don't need no man" propagandas only created a further division between the sexes, but seriously dudes, if you are in a commited relationship with a lady (hopefully married) and have a kid, stick around for that child, raise them right, be a family, don't let the government raise our kids (heck looking at the overly offended society who believes they are entitled to everything these days is a clear example of how lacking we are in the strong family unit department.

* Anyhow, I am overworked, and I am going off topic. Women, God knows I love ya and have the utmost respect for you all, where would mankind be without your nuture, strength, resilience, and love? Have a blessed week <3

With all that said, here is a completely unrelated doodle aptly named "Citrus Cat"as a symbol of how acidic this work has been with the piling of extra work on my plate, even so, I urge you not to let an extended workload turn you into a SOUR PUSS *ZING* my dear readers, because it is as they say, the blessing always comes after the harshest part of the storm. That said keep being creatibve no matter what your situation is like!

MS Paint Mondays 57

What's good 2017 readers (if any of you stuck around the 3 months of complete silence that is lol)  I have returned to do MS Paint Mondays!! (because to be honest I haven't stopped doing them, just posting them, and for that I am sorry.) So despite it not even being Monday, let's get ready to welcome this week's  MS PAINT MONDAY!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* So first and for most, my apologies for being completely inactive for so long, I have just had way too much on my plate this new year that has broken my focus on hobbies like this blog completely.

* That said as I mentioned in my introduction, this doesn't mean I haven't been doing weekly paints since then, I have made a plethora of them, so I thought why not start to post them? You see reasers, as I have mentioned in past posts I am often very critical of my drawings, but that is why I made this challenge for myself in the first place, you see how else can I get my art out in the world, it may not be GOOD but at least it is out there.

* This is something that I can stand behind, whatever your craft, if you are the only audience to your gift(s) then it will always be bad, but when you put it out there on a consistent basis, you will find someone who can appreciate your unique flavor, and therefore in order to encourage you all as well as myself, I will start to publish my art daily if possible. (But I'll still keep the title as MS Paint Mondays since it clicks so well with my nonsense subtext, that and well I'm lazy :D)

With all that said and done, I give you the second attempt at drawing my original anti-hero squad of lame-o's the Losa Brigade in the uniquely named piece "Losa Brigade Color". Now I am aware my character design still needs work, but this is my way of owning my new revelation when it comes to art, just put it out there, if you can't perfect it the first time who cares, just throw it out there, you'll find your style and technique speeding up the mroe often you do these things.

MS Paint Mondays 56

Good Morning Readers! Hope you are doing well this fine beginning of the week, my many blessings come your way as we begin this new weekly journey with another MS PAINT MONDAY!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* So my co-worker is out of the office today therefore I have not only my occasional workload but his as week, so this week's post may be a bit short.

* This makes me think of teamwork, even though it isn't always fun, as I can see today with all the extra work, it is also important in life to have good team work.

* Looking at society's do it yourself mantra that everyone seems to be spewing (unless they feel oppressed by something then suddenly unity is demanded from everyone.) team work is becoming a more situational commodity.

* Doing everything on your own all the time, though impressive also adds a lot of stress and sometimes an air of superiority to a person. Now, let's say that you are all good right now, with everything you built yourself, with no one else, then you will be less likely to ask for help should you ever actually need it. So what would be a small stumble, could become a cataclysmic fall if we close the doors to offering help from another.

* Then again you also need to be smart when you work with a team, that it be a versatile and responsible team members, if you chose people who don't share the same passion/dedication for your project or goal like you do, don't blame other people, blame yourself for joining that team. (If this is a team you were assigned to, then suck it up and make yourself shine, as annoying as that may be.)

As I write this I can see my e-mails filling in with double work load, but before I bounce I give you "Wii Celeste",  a casual testament to when team work can be done for fun, 4 years ago, me and 2 other random co-workers got a paid day off for winning a Wii tournament, none of us were particularly amazing at games but we pulled through, that said you never know, perhaps a pair of randoms may be the best motivators in a pool of people. In the wise words of The Shoveler, "Teamwork, YES!"

MS Paint Mondays 55

Good Evening Readers! It's October 10th and you know what that means!! Uplifting Umbertaversary everyone, also Canadian thanksgiving is you are feeling more grateful than not haha. Anyhow, it's late late so let's get on with the post, welcome back to MS PAINT MONDAYS!!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* Umbertaversary is to celebrate an individual who permeates ungratefulness, Canadian Thanksgiving is a day to celebrate what you are grateful for, the juxtaposition of these days just make today fun for me.

* My girlfriend has displayed the spirit of thanksgiving by yelling at me for stealing mashed potatoes from her... in her dreams!! Lol you hear about couples getting mad at each other when they cheat on each other in their dreams but I wasn't prepared for gluttonous dream me to anger her so hahahaha.

* To be honest today was a very short but not very inspiring day, I guess we should take this Monday to renew our creativity, especially since yesterday's Pres Debate was more mindless noise with buzz words sprinkled on top to sway people's opinions... seeing as the media has been ultra predictable and society has been eating every word they serve them as truth, let's celebrate by not doing that and thinking for ourselves for once.

Well, to be honest in the spirit of today's normalcy I decided to draw something simple yet my own, and call it "Rivdagon", this is a simple almost Pokemon-esque creature, perhaps it can evolve and become greater, something we wish would happen with society thee days, for them to expand themselves without following things blindly. Anyhow, remember to be thankful for the things you do and believe in.

MS Paint Mondays 54

Good Morning Readers! My apologies for the Wednesday paint, but mid week is better than nothing eh? I have just been so incredibly busy lately and have honetly made it difficult on myself to balance life out for a bit, but I am back, and better late then never for MS Paint Mon---WEDNESDAY!!!!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* So with the world currently transfixed on the Presidential debates, as if there was any real choice in who the next president will be (seriously, the media and big government has been pushing for Hillary from the start but people refuse to see it; Trump isn't even trying to win I mean come on!) I have just been rolling my eyes so far back it hurts.

* Anyhow seeing how it is basically Trump and Hillary taking shots at each other like lame elementary chool bullies, it remind me of my own would be elementary school bullies, Erfan and Shoaib. (Pronounced Show-bee)

* Perhaps not as ridiculous as the current presidential mess going on in the USA, they were pretty stupid in their own right, so much so that they were literally my first weekly schoolyard comic. There I made a bunch of my own I guess what you would now refer to as memes for these kids and it garnered quite a following back then, even to this day I still get friends on FB asking me for more Erfan and Shoaib work.

* This just goes to show, how important it is to build character when people try to bully you, look at their faults and play off of them in your own way, kind of like Hillary and Trump are scripted to do it seems lol. Don't let the emotions of this debate and the ideologies being thrown around divide you more from your friends and colleagues, can't you see it's what the government wants?

With all that said and done here is an old school drawing of my old comic book renditions of Erfan and Shoaib, which is lovingly titled "Erfan and Shoaib", I know my creativity surpasses even my own mind sometimes, haha.  Anyhow, Erfan always had a thing for styling his hair in school, and his style went from semi-Elvis like to odd hedge hair phase throughout our school years, and Shoaib, well Shoaib was just weird, and dumb, so in my comic he was simply obsessed with licking things, in this case Erfan's hair with the use of Easy Cheese as hair product... which come to think of it may also be how Trump styles his hair... we have come full circle!!

MS Paint Mondays 53

Good Morning Readers! Happy late Costa Rican Independence day! Hope you all had a great weekend and are happy to be back, I myself had been out on vacation a few weeks back then I got really sick, and then my work computer's motherboard died on me so it has been a hell of a few weeks, but I am back for MS PAINT MONDAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* Today I am melancholy, but will keep this post positive if I can.

* Life can be a cruel game where money is the prize, even if you know money is trouble and don't want to indulge in it as much as others seem to do it is something one truly needs to live with so we can't completely eradicate it from our lives. Which is fine this forces us to learn how be focused and balanced, which if you know me, you know I struggle to be both things as both things contradict each other, but it is something we should strive for in anything we love and need in this life.

* The dangerous side of money is when you become entangled by it, needing more, wanting more, willing to do anything for more. People do all kinds of stupid irrational things for this evil love. They risk it all by gambling, or get themselves in debt trying to buy money saving get rich quick schemes. This world's reckless want for money has even managed to destroy the family unit.

* Think about it, how can it be that at one time only the man worked and everything was great, over 50% of married couples were without debt, now the world has us all working and there doesn't appear to be enough to go around, if anything taxes just continue to rise...

* We must be careful in what we put our efforts into, whether it be money, love, stature, fame, glory. It is as they say, the heart is treacherous and we must not listen to it, but at the same time, the heart is YOU, it is who we are, and if we feed it the wrong things the treachery may rear its ugly head. It's as I say, clear focus, balance it, keep your heart leveled. (Easier said than done I know).

With that said here is a light-hearted paint called "Slowbro gets Cash Fast" where I use a silly jingle of those old school cash point commercials about getting getting cash in a flash, or if you know your pokemon facts, HM-05. I felt this was a nice way to depict how even those of us who aren't as easily swayed to the fast paced money grubbing life can be ensnared by the right net. Be careful readers, be smart and stay creative!

MS Paint Mondays 52

Good Morning Readers! I am back and I am ready to dance or erm blog! It isn't just any Monday and I don't just mean because it is MS Paint Monday, nah brotatos and siselery sticks, it is also Mother's day here in Costa Rica, so that means I had the day to chill with my familia, and that just helps put me in a better mood, paint or no paint! Anyhow let us dig in to MS Paint Mondays!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* So I am the last person to talk about having a good mother son relationship as I fought with mine for 7 years before finally having the courage to open up to her again/apologize to her despite me not being the only one at fault. The point is I am not an ideal son, yet even I know how great a challenge and nurturing experience motherhood can be; despite it being full of heartbreak, we as kids can normally be the ones to mend it all, even if we feel we shouldn't have to.

* This thought only became stronger throughout the day as friends and other mothers in my family posted pictures, well-meaning messages, and lovely memories all over social media and texts, I just wish love for the family (not just mothers) could be more evident in today's society. I feel like the push is for everyone to be out working and kids to be taken care of by the outside world/influences. It's honestly quite sad.

*Then I started thinking about family struggles and social media nonsense, and I got a one of those notifications from Instagram telling me that some random person tagged me on one of those how to get more instagram fans nonsense posts. That made me think, why do people do this? Is there some 35 year old guy in Turkey, named something like Farketh, who falls for these traps or adds random people in hopes of fans as he has a shrill voice and people cannot take him seriously because of it. Now I imagine him eventually getting the fans he so thirstily desires only to exclaim in his high pitched voice "Giddy up Daddy!" But why, why would he say that? What if his dad was in the room and said, "What? No, you are too old to play horsey on daddy's knee!!" I imagine Farketh, rolling his eyes, and telling his dad, "You promised me we would play horsey as soon as you got home!!"; "That was 14 years ago!!" cries his father. (Then I started laughing hysterically, imagining a 21 year old Turkish man begging his father for a horsey ride on his knee... lol). I then pondered further, why would he want this horsey ride so badly, and then it clicked, what if they played horsey at a young age and his father knee'd his testicles so high up that his voice became permanently shrill, and he can never get back to normal speaking pitch until he gets a healing horsey ride... and... and... what were we talking about?

Soooo mother's day makes me think of this old co-worker friend I used to have who had a love for cows, and how she became an amazing mother 3 years ago, so therefore I will honor her this year with the paint "Katherinne and her Cow". In the end, go out, enjoy your mothers or motherly figures in your lives, but not just today, do so everyday! Give out them hugs! :D

MS Paint Mondays 50 (and 51)

Good Morning Readers! Hope you are all having a wonderful, Wednesday..? Yes, yes, I know it isn't Monday, but here in Costa Rica, both Monday and Tuesday were Virgin de Los Angeles day(s), or holidays dedicated to visit the Virgin Mary in Cartago, so MS Paint Monday this week has been pushed back until today, so with that said let's bounce to the beat of MS PAINT MO--ERM... WEDNESDAY!!!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* In these times where people here take a pilgrimage to visit the Virgin Mary at an old church to reflect on themselves and truly ask for and remember what is important for them and their lives as well as the lives of their loved ones.

* So often we meet someone who rubs us the wrong way and we just actively avoid them, or we express love and compassion for trivialities over things that actually matter. Basically people have a lot of their views and priorities skewed and this is a time we try and get that straightened out.

* What's sad is these revelations we have during times like this usually fizzle out until the next big holiday, like Christmas or New Years, only to continue on like this, it honestly is the little things we do and feel that we sometimes don't even realize we do it.

With all that said the first (yes, I making this a 2 paint week, since I started late) paint is titled "DD" for Douglas David, which was a co-worker who shamelessly flirted with our friend in the office to almost "rapey" standards and she didn't see it, we couldn't stand him and therefore reduced to avoiding him and giving him elementary school annoyance tactics in order to push him away, which honestly made us less mature than he. So this is an example of a person whom by avoiding I may have made them worse. People should attribute respect and even positive qualities towards all folks, making an effort to be friendly, even if someone doesn't rub you the right way. How is anyone supposed to grow, if you never even share a moment, conversation?

For paint numero dos, we have the quaintly named "Frank Sinatra.... lol". Yes, I actually added 3 dots and a lol to the title because I thought my pun was THAT hilarious, I am aware I am lame, but I am even lamer to have drawn this simply because the company bought us hot-dogs for lunch. As you can see, the aptly named sausage is singing "Love N' Mayo" which is a reference to the real Fran Sinatra's classic, "Love and Marriage", and yes even though this is a silly doodle with no deeper meaning, I thought it served as a good example at how easily we are able to thrust out powerful words in order to describe the mundane. Take Pizza for example, I really like pizza, a whole freaking lot, but I always tell Pizza that I love it, I am guilty of slightly killing the impact of the word love. The definition of love is so much broader than just a great affection for, and the fact that I can so effortlessly use it to describe a consumable over a person in my life speaks volumes of our own priorities in life... or maybe I am just overthinking it all, hmm, you tell me.

MS Paint Mondays 49

Good Afternoon Readers! Hope your day is so easy that even a caveman could enjoy it with little to no stress. As for me today is a national Holiday here in Costa Rica, but as I work for an American Company, I got to work regardless, woohoo!! Anyhow, being in the office on a Monday means we have access to MS Paint, and with that I'll just get right to it, GET READY FOR MS PAINT MONDAYS!!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* Well it's been a lazy I don't feel like doing anything kind of day today, the type of day where the clients are chill and the tensions are low, it's during days like today where one's imagination can truly run wild, where you can be anything you want to be, do anything you want to do, a dance all day and party all night kind of day!!

* Anyhow, instead of doing all that I spent the day catching up on ComicCon trailers and watching James Bond. #Productive

*With the world seemingly going down the gutter it's nice to have a day where you can have a mental escape, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, just because there is misery doesn't mean you have to allow yourself to be consumed by it, you do you. Be silly, make happiness, become someone new! But don't take it so far to become like a psycho murderer... unless it's to murder onion-based products. ;D

Now then, with all that nonsense over and done with I give you "Chem-sino Rami-yale" a classic and non-universal pun on James Bond's Casino Royal, starring my Chemistry teacher Mr. "Rami" Atya, he was a teacher who truly lived with fun and joy in his person, always taking the time to make an out of left field joke, and make random comparisons and characters to better explain complex chemical jargon. That said, I wanted to take the spirit of allowing us to become something else through the power of imagination to make him and his characters Sam and Ian into super secret agents, because why not?

As always, I hope this exercise helps you ease that weekly case of the Mondays and inspires you to start creating new things, and really help expand the creative construct that is your brain! I encourage you to share/send me your own MS Paint Monday creations, if I get enough I plan to do an MS Paint showcase at the end of every week so we can enjoy each other's styles and imaginations.

MS Paint Mondays 48

What's up Readerlings!! Gah! I'm sorry I have been gone for a month, but fear not for clumsy doodled MS Paints are returning to your weekly scheduled, especially since I am now done and over with ITIL!! So with that brief intro let's roll right to it and commence MS PAINT MONDAY!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* Life is rough, and we as people only make it rougher on ourselves and each other. How many times do we plan something out only to feel like we have reached a dead end only because it didn't go exactly as we planned it?

* Let's say you want to travel somewhere, and you plan it all out, but you hit an obstacle, perhaps you have to pay an extra travel tax, or renew a document, but you can't get it through a call or a specific person, you have to think outside the box, and therefore you feel like it's not possible to travel after all. (Now I am not referring to huge situation altering circumstances, of course things like that happen and plans therefore can change, no, I am referring to small inconveniences, where you can still get things done if you really wanted to.)

* Now a days everything that happens seems to be fueled by hate according to social media at least. Where everyone feels entitled to things and therefore whines, complains, or creates some false victimizing narrative as to why things didn't work out the way they did, without enjoying the journey despite it not leading to your desired route. Life teaches lessons for us, even if they aren't the ones we wish to learn.

Well I'm done being a Preachy Pedro, this MS paint is titled "Dr. Rana" or Doctor Frog, and basically this character was made for a girl I had a crush on who loved frogs and medicine unfortunately she didn't very much like me haha, at the time I thought we really clicked, but she was only interested in my doodles and not in me getting close to her on any level. At first I was hurt, but then learned you can't make anyone feel a certain way, a very obvious lesson of course, unless you are a con man or something, but it is one that I had to learn the hard way. Sometimes we make and do things for a certain result only to not achieve it, and perhaps the result we wanted can't even be achieved by our known means, or we can achieve a similar result that we have yet to see or realize. Basically don't give up, remember what you want, and if you really want it, you will find a way to make it.

MS Paint Mondays 46 and 47

Heyooo Reader's sorry for my sloppiness after just getting back into the swing of things, work life has not been kind as far as giving me free time but I am back and on a Monday no doubt to grace you all with another inspirational piece of mediocrity which is birthed from my imagination into MS Paint... That said, let's all vomit out some doodles as we return to MS PAINT MONDAY!!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* Soooo, not to toot my own horn, but it was my birthday over the weekend, so I am now a year older, and hopefully wiser, that said I realize as time passes I become more disinterested in my birthday, however it doesn't mean I don't appreciate others' love and attention on that day.

* It makes me think of not all the characters I have created throughout my life, just as I get older my mind adds more madness and brings it to life in the form of doodles, so just like my real life friends, and family, my creations also celebrate with me...

*... No, not in a multiple personality type way, I am crazy but not like that, anyhow, it's more of an Alice in Wonderland type deal where they are always with me during different parts of my life as they are all born through inspiration brought about by life itself... Yes, LIFE!! Not drugs, I get that too often.

* Anyhow, I am now 26, and thought to myself that no matter how hectic life gets, our inner selves, in this case my lame doodles, should never be shut out, but instead allowed to flourish, so that no matter how old we get, we will never forget every little piece of ourselves and how we made it to this day, this MS Paint Monday!

With all that said let's bring in the first of this week's Ms Paints (yes I am posting 2 today) I bring you "Death of Mustardy", now though odd this does have to do with my thoughts, as Mustardy, as well as all the above depicted characters were from a comic I made back in high school titled, "Alien Teke Taku's Earthly Dining" which was a comic were food was sentient but humans didn't mind they both ate and served it, Mustardy was a mustard bottle that was murdered after risking it's like to Alien Teke Taku, just how we sometimes risk parts of ourselves for change. Whether the change be for our better or not we may not always know, but it is a good reflection to have whenever we react overly negative or positive to an alien concept that is introduced in our lives, will we change with it, or keep our ground?

Now as far as the second paint comes in, it is simply and quite explicitly titled "Me, a Giraffe, and some Pickles..." Now if I may be honest when I doodled this I did so mindlessly, this has no real meaning, yet at the same time it just might. A Giraffe, tall and in formal attire, and a pickle sour, moist, and with 2 mini pickles... Could this be how my subconscious perceives growing up? I mean there I am all mopey in the corner waiting for some food, looking away from both creatures, could it be that I see career goals as too high to be bothered with and a family life as something that I don't want to chew on? Sometimes doodles can really make one think eh? I for one don't know if any of this is how I feel, but it's fun to speculate. :)
