MS Paint Mondays 29

Yo readers!! It's a new week, and that means it's time for a new paint! Hope everyone has been doing well and MS Painting every Monday as we start it all again on this fine new day!

--Thoughts of the day--

* Today was honestly quite relaxing, which is not usually how Mondays tend to be, however, today was a day I could think back to a simpler time, High school, and despite the fact that I was battling my own demons at the time, I could doodle a lot more too.

* I used to doodle all the time in High school and even make lame comics from time to time, nothing spectacular mind you, just a way to pass the time or even remember key points.

* What I loved the most from doing this however was when others would draw characters too because of how enjoyable I made it, therefore despite never being the best artistic wise I loved having that small contribution to creativity for those around me, it's also part of the main reason I started this blog and the idea for MS Paint Mondays!

Therefore this week's paint is my rendition of a friend of mine's creation, simply called "Sam Ryan´s 3!"; now my buddy Sam seemed to enjoy the silly super hero team I had created way back when known as The Losa Brigade (maybe I'll draw them again for you all) and there fore he created his own super trio, starring: Tennis Lad, Suds Man, and Awesome Possum!! Therefore I wanted to take the time to remember these 3 as well as the idea that any idea has the potential to be memorable and great! Despite them only having 2 ¨Issues¨ I will forever remember this trio of crime fighters.

As always, I hope this exercise helps you ease that weekly case of the Mondays and inspires you to start creating new things, and really help expand the creative construct that is your brain! I encourage you to share/send me your own MS Paint Monday creations, if I get enough I plan to do an MS Paint showcase at the end of every week so we can enjoy each other's styles and imaginations.

MS Paint Mondays 03

♫Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go! To welcome you, yes it's true! So have a seat I say, and prepare for another MS PAINT MONDAAAY!!♪

I hope everyone had a beyond amazing weekend, and hopefully more restful than my own, as I was all over the place haha. Anyhow as usual, I am here to remind you that life doesn't have to be glum at the start of a new week, you can add that extra flavor, get that MS Paint out, don't waver!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* Perhaps this isn't the case everywhere, but I dislike how in Costa Rica, arts and creativity are not seen as useful talents, they are seen as hobbies for the rich and pampered, making the attempt to study such venues incredibly expensive and the job market for the same is non existent making people have to work in places that kill their creativity.

* I know it can be hard, but I say to you, do what you love, don't kill your dreams for the promise of a ever changing state of monotony that we like to call a "stable career". I am currently doing that and I must say I cannot stand it, I am not passionate about this, and no matter the paycheck, enjoying life is a greater success than simply "surviving" it.

* Yes, I am aware this sounds generic, almost at a fortune cookie-esque level, but I have lived enough time to see all those who pursue this world's view of success fall into more stress and hardships then others who choose to do what they like. Sure you may not have the chance to go out for nice dinners all the time, but I guarantee you will be happy with all the new memories that you wouldn't have been able to make otherwise.

*But for now; keep on MS Painting, keep the color in your life ♥

That brings me to this mess, that is my third attempt at MS Paint, I call it "Pin stripe Goblin" still keeping it simple, but now with the added bonus of a simple background, as usual you don't need to be a pro, just have fun with it, and you'll see how you improve and develop a style as time goes on.

Pseudo Inspiration can still Inspire

Hello my beautifully creative colleagues! Hope everyone is well!

I wanted to make a brief post today about a fun lesson I semi taught myself today. You see, I've noticed a large increment in random motivational or inspirational quotes on social media, and sure some are nice but most are just common sense or basic facts creatively rearranged with a nice font and background in order to give more "profound" meaning to the simple message. That said, me and my sarcastic self took this as a way to poke fun at these sorts people by making my own lazy and stupid inspirational quotes, with the challenge of making it them rhyme, and have a cutesy background, again as a joke to see how people would react...

... So I came up with the following;

"The grass is greener in the summer sun. Only brown if its work is left undone."

"If life's bowl is empty and neat. It's still not time for you to eat."

"No matter how harsh or trivial the problem or bug, it'll always suffocate in the warm embrace of a marshmallow hug."

"Treat others well, make it your philosophy. In return you may end up in their autobiography"

As you can see they are all basic and "trivial" points commonly used in motivational posts, (work, patience, love, and recognition) I posted the same on my own social media thinking i'd confuse people or maybe catch them over-thinking thing, finding wisdom in what I simply considered idiocy... As time went by, however, I found people ended up really liking them, despite the simplicity, and the original purpose being to mock, I realized that it brought joy and genuine thought-provoking smiles from those who saw them; I was pleasantly surprised that my satire was taken so lovingly. It truly goes to show you how sometimes even silly pseudo-inspiration can still have meaning in someone's life, how different all our view points truly are where we can each dissect a silly little rhyme and find a hidden relevance in our own lives.

After seeing this effect, I honestly decided to make some more...

"If true burning passion is your mission! Ignite the coals that burn through opposition!"

"In order to love another's heart and keep it in your pocket. Look past what your eye sees through its judgmental socket."

"A misunderstanding is like hammering a nail incorrectly. You still get people into the subject, but they'll always hang there ineptly."

"Ignore the behind the scenes of your earthly birth, and focus on the highlights of your future heavenly worth."

And with that I managed to not only practice some silly rhymes, but I also brightened up others' day and learned a little more about how those close to me see things, such as a silly little "motivational" rhyme. It is a powerful reminder that even the simplest of gestures can produce some much needed compassion for someone, which is something that this world is sorely lacking.

Sappiness aside, this was a fun and interesting experience, and I invite you to try the same! Write your own short little rhyming inspirational posts, make them fun, silly, encouraging, what have you; but more importantly make them YOURS! Feel free to share what you create or tell me how those close to you reacted to your rhymes.

**If you have any other fun ideas to brighten up another's day through simplicity, feel free to share it and I'll try it out!**

Welcome to Wachi's Inspirational Nonsense!!

Hello Everyone!!

I welcome you and wish you all a very good day!

No doubt you have stumbled onto this blog by random chance or some misguided recommendation, regardless of how you came to arrive here I will take this chance to introduce to you my blog!! *pops confetti*

Hello, my name is Luis, but you can call me Wachi, and on this blog my goal is to entertain, confuse, inspire, create, and hopefully help you see a more whimsical side to life without the need of illegal supplements. The basic idea of this is for me to be able to express myself and hopefully learn from you all too, as we take a journey through a jumbled mess of nonsense, that may just inspire you to look at life a little differently. I am well aware at how vast and unorganized this all may sound, and it very well may be, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun with it, that said, I greatly encourage any comments, suggestions, and ideas/topics for discussion!!

Still there? FANTASTIC, well sit back, relax, let your imagination loose as I look forward to seeing what comes next and of course interacting with all of you; stay tuned!!

Much Love, Wachi
