Wachi's Travel Log: Hawaiian Getaway!

Aloha Readers on the Mainland,

I know I haven't been to constant on this blog so I thought I would make it up to you with a quick travel log of my trip to Hawaii, God has blessed me in giving me the opportunity to take such a wonderful trip during such a busy time in my life, so I thought you would all like to enjoy the memories with me.

As a quick prologue, this trip was basically a spur of the moment thing with an old buddy of mine Rhys, who was one of my life long friends who didn't get to accompany the rest of us on our LA adventures 4 years ago, so we were keen to wanting to hang out again and make up for lost time. Long story short he invited me to join him on a Hawaiian cruise, his mom had gotten a discount and it was very promising. So I used the 2 months I had to save up as much as I could and accompany him on this island adventure. (In fact I am still paying off some debts, but man was it worth it!)

Thursday August 27th, 2016

So we were scheduled to meet on Friday in Hawaii, as the Cruise left on Saturday evening and we didn't want to afford missing it, however I had to leave on Thursday, a day earlier, since it was a 14 hour flight from my end, and if there was any chance of a delay i couldn't afford to leave on Friday, so that began my groggy journey by air, that took me from Costa Rica to Houston to San Francisco, to eventually Hawaii.

On the first leg of this flight, I was graciously upgraded to economy plus, and you know what that means don't'cha readers? That's right!! Leg room for days!!! It was amazing to have so much space to actually stretch my legs in that first flight, and not only that I had a really dope airplane neighbor named Clara from Germany who was in Costa Rica the entire summer in part of an exchange program. It was really a treat to have such a social and bubbly airplane neighbor, normally that burden is placed upon my person and others just sleep or get up to use the bathroom every 9 seconds lol. Anyhow the first flight went fast due to this interaction.

<-- That's Clara on the left and I am the one with the beard just fyi. (Hope you had a safe flight back to Germany Clara!!)

The next Flight in Houston was my main sleeping the whole way kind of flight, which is always pleasant, and within an hour of arriving in San Fran I was already boarding for the Hawaiian flight of 6, almost 7 hours. By this point I was tired of watching the same Man vs Child challenge on United's  on screen entertainment, so I decided to slide my card to pay $5.00 for a movie (remember when movies were free? Wouldn't it be easier just to charge an extra $5.00 per plane ticket and just include the movie? No one would complain if that is how it was done.) and after I paid I started watching that new Jake Gyllenhaal flick, "Demolition Man" only to have the screen flicker within the first 15 minutes of the film. An announcement then came on the PA system letting us know that there are technical difficulties and they will be resetting everything, when they do it eventually asks me to pay again, so I call up the attendant and they just say "Oh well, go to United's website to ask for a refund." and left... so suffice to say I just tried to sleep again for the last leg of the trip.

Finally at 7pm Hawaii time I arrived and made my way to my hotel in Waikiki, I ordered a Pizza, which they took my $10 bill as tip, what the hell, so I paid almost $40 for a pizza, which is not what I was planning as I only had limited spending money for this trip, but anyways I ate that and called it a day.

Friday August 28th, 2016

Now, as there is around a 5-6 hour time difference between Hawaii and Costa Rica, I woke up extraordinarily early and ate some pizza for breakfast, during this time I watched some tv, explored the hotel and called my loved ones as I waited for Rhys to show up, eventually I just went to the small rooftop pool they had to see if I could melt away my tourist whiteness of skin hahaha. If I can say anything about Hawaii is that the weather was quite lovely for the vast majority of the time.

<-- In case you are all curious that was the view from my hotel room on the first morning.

Anyhow I did this til about 1 pm where I got the message from my good buddy Rhys that his flight had arrived, so I got my stuff and wait to wait for him at the lobby, it was glorious seeing my old friend again, and with the our Hawaiian adventure officially begun. We swim suited up and went exploring Honolulu for the day, first stop being lunch, of course.

We found this really snazzy burger joint simply called, "Waikiki Burgers". and believe it or not despite the simple name, the food was quite flavorful, they even had funky little umbrellas on the burgers. Classy.

Behold the colorful and delicious meal that was brought to us. -->

As all Hawaiian stereotypes have led us to believe, there is even a pineapple included on the side, simply magnificent, and quite sweet too! (Shout out to our amazingly friendly waiter Jason btw)

After lunch, we went off and began exploring Honolulu and catching pokemon, (This was when Pokemon Go was still playable and fun, though I hear Gen 2 is out now meh.) we continued this trend whilst also enjoying the local weather and flora to the fullest, as well as being the occasional tourist and blindly wandering into neat looking shops, this eventually led us to this beautiful beach in the middle of town, boy, I can honestly say I had never seen water so blue and clear, simply gorgeous!
As you can see with the tiny collage thingy over here -->

---AUG 2018 UPDATE---

HEY ALL, SO I KNOW I LEFT THIS BLOG HANGING FOR FAR TOO LONG AND DON'T KNOW WHEN I WILL EVER BE ABLE TO CONTINUE IT, LIFE IS JUST TOO HECTIC FOR ME RIGHT NOW. EVEN STILL I PROMISED THE HAWAII BLOG AND LEFT IT INCOMPLETE SO I WANT TO AT LEAST SHARE A FEW MORE PICS WITH YOU AND IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR EVEN CARE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT BELOW;

MUCH LOVE!

<-- Me with my boi Rhys, after getting "Lei'd". This was also the room where the boarding of the cruise began. Fun Fact: A few other passengers confused Rhys and myself as Cruise employees instead of fellow passengers, talk about racial stereotyping lol, we should've asked for some tips.

Over here is us on the cruise ship and moving on to the next island of Maui -->

Down below I present you some quick pics of when we landed in Hilo, and the botanical beauties it possessed, mainly the vibrant flora and the illustrious gecko, Wallace Tefflesworth.

As the days passed we continued to go to the final, and arguably most beautiful island, the nature infused Kauai! Here is where, in my opinion the scenery was the most breath-taking;
<-- Here we are approaching the beautiful Na Pali coastline, and it is truly a magnificent sight to behold. It is a moment where one truly does lose track of time and surroundings, with the sea breeze, the warm sun, and the gorgeous view.

Followed by this next tropical vista on the island of Kauai, honestly, Costa Rica is a gorgeous country, but this beach in Kauai was just something else;

Simply luscious! We spent the rest of the date exploring the island's coast, without worry of the time as the boat was docked for the night. We were caught in the rain and sun, but our moods were ever relaxed and adventurous.

This is also the island where the bulk of our souvenirs were bought, specifically at this place called "Crazy Shirts" were they had shirts dyed in local alcohols and other natural dyes. It was very cool. Also this awesome store clerk, gave us some awesome tips on how to get pineapple Oreo pies. Rhys says it's because she was hitting on me, but I think it's just because she thought I was bomb in my aloha shirt and therefore felt compelled to share her pie secrets lolol. Unfortunately whatever the reason, we had reservations at one of the restaurants on the boat that night and couldn't partake of the pies.

Anyhow, fast forward to the next day, the final night of the cruise and this is where I got to meet comedian Michael Sommerfield, he was a very nice and chill dude, though that may have just been the Hawaii magic talking, and I mean the relaxed atmosphere not some Hawaiian drug. Anyways, he was very funny and even laughed at some of my lame jokes so he is super cool in my book (Rhys fell asleep so he wasn't able to meet him.);
<-- Also dang my skin looks orange in this pic, Hawaii really Trumpifies you, soon I will have the urge to build a wall haha.

After our time on the cruise was done, we spent our final day back in Honolulu, and just walked around the town, spoke with locals and enjoyed the culture. We even discovered some really dope pieces by a local artist named "Walfrido Garcia", honestly if I had the space in my home and the extra cash I would've bought some of his pieces for my home. I urge you to google his work, the man's lighting techniques on the canvas are mesmerizing!

And well that's it, we both arrived at the airport later that night and said our goodbyes, the adventure had come to an end, but it doesn't mean it is to be our last! Adios Hawaii! Aloha Costa Rica!

*Deep Breath* Readers, my apologies for this disjointed, ultra-delayed, nonsensical travel blog update, if you can even call it that. But I lost a lot of the pictures for the trip, and if I didn't finish what I started with what I did have I probably wouldn't upload anything. Again if you have any questions let me know and I can go into more detail on the trip. If I ever do another travel blog type deal I will make it more structured. Thanks for sticking with me despite all the mess.

Much Love and Mahalo,
Wachi

MS Paint Mondays 61

I'm back! Sooner than you all expected no doubt, though perhaps un-surprised by now how this again was not posted on a Monday lol, should I just call them MS Paint Fridays at this point? Nah, I would probably mess that up too, so let's just keep it as Mondays, rolls off the tongue better, like a crayon, which is used for art, which is what this is all about, so let's cough up our art supplies and MSPAINT MONDAYS!!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* So work has been pretty chill this week, even still I have been chosen to help the new hires and they have truly made my job more of a hectic dilemma. Now don't get me wrong we are all new sometimes and need that helping hand. However in this case it is annoying, let me explain...

* Imagine this, you have a solid team and a new player joins to fill in the last possible position, there are no rooms for subs or anything else, and you help your coach in showing the newbie the ropes. All good so far! However one day, someone from another team sprints up to your team's coach and says they want in, there is no open position, and even the substitutes are filled, yet your coach says "Umm ok go train with the others until there is a new opening." (this includes me in the scenario, and there's no date for when a new opening could happen)

* Here is where the art of patience and obedience comes in, you do as you are expected and you do it well, however after a couple of weeks when you realize this goes from being a task to being a random person taking up your time so that they can train to possibly replace you as there are no spots open, that just gets awkward... like does she have nothing else to do in her current team that she needs to constantly come to ours and take hours of our work week? Haha.. seriously though.

* In the end it helps me reflect on myself, how I have been whenever I join a new class or team. I want to use this current time wasting annoyance to remind myself how to act when I move on or begin to learn something new, I don't want to be a nuisance/fire that has to be calmed and put out, I want to be a bulb that takes note and energy from those willing to teach me that I may burn bright and help illuminate them further from the things I learn. I don't know if I am making sense or not, but I guess it goes along with the mindset to love what you learn, but learn to read the atmosphere and whether it is your time to join or not.

With all that said and done I don't know if this week's paint is super relatable to my thoughts as it is an old one, however let's see if I can make it work. This doodle titled; "Fiya Fighta Extraordinaire" was, like last week's, done in response to a friend and colleague from my early days in the company, so when I was a newbie. He was a lover not a fighter, unless it was fires, as he was a volunteer fireman, but even still he was very shy. Interestingly enough, last week's paint, represented my colleague Kat whom was very hard to really reach due to the phone wall she'd put up. Well Alex (the fireman) was able to break through that shell, and both of them continue to be great friends to this day. Goes to show, that sometimes your approach isn't the right one, but that doesn't mean there isn't value in it. As a student or a teacher, we can always help start or put out fires, it is how we learn to solve problems and teach others how to avoid them. Huh, not sure if I am making any sense, but it's honestly amazing how we can learn so much from all the individuals we meet in life, even those we don't want to give training to hahaha.

As always, I hope this exercise helps you ease that weekly case of the Mondays and inspires you to start creating new things, and really help expand the creative construct that is your brain! I encourage you to share/send me your own MS Paint Monday creations, if I get enough I plan to do an MS Paint showcase at the end of every week so we can enjoy each other's styles and imaginations.

MS Paint Mondays 60

Hey, since I have returned from the void, despite it not being Monday I thought I'd "bless" this dying medium with another MS Paint Monday! I have drawn several paints since this blog went into hiatus, but I will still go in chronological order. With that said, get in everyone, let's go together into this week's MS PAINT MONDAY!!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* I have been in an extensive training for my job for the past 3 and a half months, and despite learning a lot of amazing things applicable to both my life and work, and by doing so, my patience and communication has improved! (That said I cannot wait for this course to end.)

* As I alluded to above, communication has improved, and more than anything in the non-verbal sense. Did you know when working on a life project, whether it be for work/life, communication is 90% of what drives it to success, 55% of said communication is not verbal? Well you do now!

* Non-Verbal communication is louder than anything these days. One common example is when you meet with friends, have you noticed how sometimes a friend or colleague will whip out their phone and lay it on a table in front of them. Subconsciously they are putting the phone first, and their attention on you second. Doesn't feel very good eh? Well too bad! (Anyhow that's one of many examples, I won't bore you with more.)

* Aside from that, I learned that when we are given education/training, we are now pressured to succeed for certificates and the best grade point averages. However when we do that we lose the "fun" of learning a new skill, and only focus on the stress of passing said course. With this mentality I realized we see learning as more of a chore, than a fun activity, it's sad and honestly something I wish to improve on personally.
As usual, I bring a semi relatable doodle to go along with my feelings for the week, and in a weird way this older paint matches my thoughts. Today's paint titled "Kat when she is in Troubole", super inspired I know lol. This paint is inspired by an ex-coworker, whom would always gush about her troubles and stresses to me, and whenever I tried to understand and offer solution she'd sub-consciously ignore me and delve into the world of her phone. The cow, her favorite animal, was a representation of the "bullish" spirit she'd leave behind for me to "talk to" whilst her actual mind and attention was lost in her texts... again, that non verbal communication we may give off. Clearly, I was not a fan of hearing about her issues for too much longer haha.

Wachi's Rants: Let the Preggos Drink!

So it's Friday and I have a bunch of work to finish up, but as I enjoy my lunch break my eyes trip over and stumble into this headline that I saw this morning. The headline simply read, "Bartenders banned from denying pregnant women alcohol in NYC" and of course I had to click on in and make sure it wasn't a real thing, but instead some poorly written joke article of some sort.... it wasn't... unfortunately. Now, now, I can see you worrying about me making so many rants as of late, since my blog was initially for silliness, art, and positive thoughts to a degree, and it still is for the most part, but things like this, as the sub-header mentions, I simply cannot stay quiet about.

First and foremost, I shouldn't be so surprised that this is a law, I mean with abortion being more widely accepted, and therefore legalizing the murder of our unborn babies in hospitals, who's to say that it's morally wrong to kill them slowly in bars right? UGH... I mean, correct me if I am wrong bartenders, but it is my understanding that bartenders normally require an RSA (responsible service of alcohol) certificate in order to be bartenders, key word being "responsible"; that said, it doesn't seem to be very responsible to lawfully force these employees to assist in potentially harming the life of an unborn child. Now don't misunderstand me, I couldn't care if someone wishes to drown their entire existence in alcohol, well I would technically pity them but it's their life to do with as they please, that is not the case here however, here, you are affecting the life of an unborn child, and that is not cool.

As I continued to read the article I noticed it only continued to infuriate me, with quotes like the following; "The guidelines, released Friday by the city’s Commission on Human Rights, state that 'using safety as a pretext for discrimination or as a way to reinforce traditional gender norms or stereotypes is unlawful.'" WOW, so we are calling this discrimination now? Not irresponsible from the mother's part to be subjecting her unborn child to fetal alcohol syndrome?? Huh, what is this syndrome you ask? Well I'll tell you, this is an EASILY PREVENTABLE condition that plagues the unborn child with eventual mental and physical defects that they will have to live with for their entire lives! I looked up examples of what some of these symptoms may include and found several possibilities, by drinking alcohol whilst pregnant, your child could be born with dangerously low birth weight, have a small head circumference, they may experience development delays, organ dysfunction, facial abnormalities, epilepsy, poor social skills due to lack of imagination and curiosity which by the way could also cause learning difficulties, and all these things will undoubtedly cause them frustration and eventual behavioral problems. So in order to be a selfish and ignorant "independent un-oppressed woman" and drink whenever you like, you are opening the door to ruining the ENTIRE LIFE of another human being. (I invite you to google search FAS symptoms for more.)

Now here's the kicker, I am the type of person who doesn't really like kids, yet even I don't wish harm on them (unless they are incessantly whiny then I want them to fall down the stairs or something... WHAT? Kids are durable, and I mean carpeted ones, not those metal factory stairs of death, chill) so this isn't me letting my utter love for children cloud my judgment, if anything I am angry about how lacking in compassion society continues to be, and we are growing in our selfish nature every day, this is proof of that.

You know what else, I bet that as soon as a mom injures herself or her unborn child due to intoxication, or if their child is born with fetal alcohol syndrome that she will have full right to sue the bar/bartender who gave her alcohol while pregnant since he should have done so RESPONSIBLY. Because in the end, according to society, the poor mother is the victim since she was being discriminated.... Ok I'm done, I just can't anymore, good job feminism, fetal alcohol syndrome for all!!

Here is the article for those who wish to look into it: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2016/05/10/bartenders-must-serve-pregnant-women-alcohol-bars-new-york-city/84182372/

Wachi's Rants: Overwatch and Battleborn Stahp the Comparisons

Heyooo readers, grab your guns and come help me sort this out because honestly I'm tired of seeing it flooding my interwebs. Huh? You don't know what I'm talking about? You don't like shooters? Well I'm not very good at them myself but enjoy the occasional romp online, the point is recently I have gotten into a game called Battleborn, and despite having great difficulty with it at first, I am slowly becoming better at it which is quite nice. Now for those of you who don't know, Battleborn is a mixed genre co-op FPS (First Person Shooter) and MOBA (Multiplayer online battle arena) which was birthed by Gearbox, the studio who brought us the frantic hilarity that is the Borderlands franchise. Now, the day it was released May 3rd, was also the day that Blizzard released their hero shooter, Overwatch's BETA.

Now you may shrug to yourself and say "Well ok, cool, 2 games with unique, personality-filled heroes on the same day, quite glorious no?" Well yes, but people don't take it like that, let's be honest, barely anyone ever can, human mentality is always my team versus yours these days, why do you think the US only ever allows for 2 political parties to take up all the media space, it's simpler for them to just have red vs blue... umm I'm getting side-tracked, the point is now these games have unavoidably been pitted against each other, you are now either team Overwatch or Team Battleborn, and you can't talk about one online without it being somehow compared to the other in the comments to follow.

Again, this is not to say that everyone is like this, but a majority of people are and it gets rather tiresome when I want to look up some BB content only to see a slew of Overwatch comparison videos in my search... That is irritating, it almost seems as though people don't wish to try this game for fear that they will somehow be barred from playing Overwatch as well, and believe me, I am not bashing Overwatch, in fact, I am quite fond of Blizzard and cannot wait to play it myself (I mean they still haven't gotten me off the Hearthstone hype train, so Overwatch is just something more from them that I can't wait to dive into.) That said from what I have seen, there is no reason for these two games to be competing against each other and otherwise splitting fanbases into rivals. One is a FPS MOBA and the other is a traditional FPS, but more in line with the Team Fortress model, which is great since Valve has an issue with making 3rd installments into games.

Both have something interesting to offer and both have things I dislike, however both are very different, seriously, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, aside from the characters being unique heroes and them both being in FPS format, what else do these games have in common? Go on, I'll wait..............................................huh? Oh, you haven't said anything yet, ok I'll wait................................................................................................. ok I'm tired of waiting, I do chuckle at the thought of someone yelling at their screens like if this were an episode of "Dora the Explorer" and I'd somehow react when you did. :D As for those who didn't say anything, then you understood my point, gameplay-wise, these are 2 very different experiences. For one in Battleborn you have a single player campaign, split screen co-op (which is a huuuuuuuge plus as far as I am concerned), and objective based competitive multiplayer; whereas in Overwatch you get a much shallower experience, which is not a bad thing per-say, simply stating that it's a game in which you just hop in and kill the enemy with colorful unique heroes (still a good time as far as I am concerned).

In Battleborn's gameplay you have leveling, shards, buildables, gear, and you are stuck with the hero you choose for the entirity of the 15-30 minute match, that's right, 15-30 minutes, Battleborn's competitive MOBA style game has you undergoing long, strategic battles over Overwatch's hop in and play modes. Now don't get me wrong, Overwatch's simplicity is a plus as it's great for a few rounds of pushing a car and killing, and all you need to worry about "collecting" are health packs when you are in need, the straight-forward nature is addicting and appealing, and I can definitely understand that. Quite similar to the old school Battlefield vs COD debates, where Battlefield was a grander scale to COD's jump in "arcadey" shooter style. Additionally, both games offer loot systems at the end of matches, while Battleborn's loot system is towards gear for future rounds, Overwatch's seems to be more cosmetic in nature with character skins and the like. Overwatch is also more like a regular FPS in the since that the time to kill is quick and to the point, for example, head shots are one-shot kills the vast majority of the time; whereas in Battleborn, players are much slower to kill, and deaths can be brutal in the late game due to the longer waits for respawns, again making it the deeper of the 2.

All in all, I would like to end this by re-iterating that again, just because they are both shooters with distinct playable characters all with their own unique skills and weapons, doesn't mean they are the exact same game, nor does it mean that you must ally yourself with a certain camp and not play the other. Enjoy them both, as for the time being, neither are stepping into micro transaction territory, that is a welcome note; though Blizzard has been sketchy when answering fans about future business models for the game, so keep your eyes peeled and your wallets close. In the end, I feel I repeated myself a bit too much, much like many who have done this comparison before me, and will undoubtedly continue to make after the fact when Overwatch officially launches later this Spring.

With that I leave you to enjoy whatever you choose to play, be it Battleborn, Overwatch, or the new Pokemon Sun and Moon coming out in November #TeamRowlet

Much Love,
Wachi

MS Paint Mondays 09 (and 10)

*Sniffles* Greetings my beautiful readers, I hope all of you had an amazingly restful (and not in bed sick like me) weekend!! Also sorry for those whose summer vacation has come to an end, I hope you made a lot of awesome new memories, as for now let's start off the week with not 1 but 2 MS Paints!! MS Paint Monday is at it again, bring paint 9 AND 10!!!

--Thoughts of the day--

* Seeing as school is coming back, I realize many are moaning and groaning and trust me I was too, aside from seeing some friends there was nothing worth getting me out of bed so early in the morn, but seeing as my HS years were plagued by hidden depression I would have loved to have taken more advantage of them...

* When something interests you in school, like a course or elective, I say go for it, have fun and make memories, I only really got to do that with theater due to the state of my personal life at the time, but the friends I made are timeless and I don't regret the time I got to learn with them. That said don't let school be what it has become, a study-thon to get good test scores and move on.

* Life is more than just the end goals, and yes we strive to pass them and move on, but don't let that cloud over experiences, companions, and life lessons found along the way, just because they don't correlate directly with your end goal/test, doesn't mean it's a waste of time. The saying is live and learn after all, we need to do both.

This week I decided to make 2 paints, to show my passing of my quality exams here at work, they aren't my focus, but it still feels good, so this first one I barely passed as anything less than 85/80 is automatic failure, so I call it "I phucking passed my QA"!! I was even satisfied with this, seeing as I was never a huge over achiever in things that didn't interest me, such as this test, however.......

...Then came the second evaluation, 100% perfection, I like to call this paint "I phucking killed my QA" I even went super saiyan with joy (that's a thing yeah?); point is, I accomplished this by just using what I had learned and observed, not really paying attention, and my work was rewarded accordingly. So as stated above, don't live to pass the test, live to learn how to surpass expectations through your own merit.

50 Facts About This Marshmallow Right Here!

So if you have been reading the written noise that is my blog, I am sure you are lost, confused, and a bit intrigued about I, the individual who would construct such a place, I must say I'm not sur-- Huh? What do you mean No? You could care less?? Well that means you care at least a little so I'm doing this anyways!!
------------------------------------------------------------------

1. I was born on June 4th, 1990, therefore I am one of those annoying 90's kids.

2. I am an only child, however I never experienced that spoiled, get everything I want lifestyle associated with such, instead I got the, do all the chores by yourself treatment (Yeah, not fun).

3. My favorite color is Orange, despite this however, Orange is not my favorite fruit (That spot is reserved for watermelon).

4. Which leads to my next point, despite loving watermelons, they now make me feel bloated due to a bad experience at summer camp (maybe I'll tell that story on here someday).

5. I am Costa Rican Born, however I am also part Chinese from my dad's side and part Swiss from my mom's. It's a rather odd mix. (I did live in the USA for 11 years after my parents got divorced though)

6. I can speak English and Spanish fluently, however I cannot speak Swiss nor Mandarin. Reason being, my Swiss family told me I would never need nor use it as it was a specific dialect. Whereas my Chinese side didn't want to teach most of us Mandarin as my Great Grandpa left his first wife for a Costa Rican therefore teaching us Mandarin would be dishonorable according to him.

7. I cannot stand onion, as some of you may have gathered from my previous blog post. But I find them and cilantro to be utterly disgusting and overpowering to the foods they touch. *bleck*

8. I have little to no patience for whining or self-pity/people victimizing themselves, this is probably my biggest pet peeve... I mean if it's a legit reason, and you need to vent, OK, but if it is a daily occurrence, especially about some triviality, then you will see me irate.

9. You know that meme: "right in the childhood" well I had never actually experienced that pain and thought it was just internet silliness until I saw Michael Bay's TMNT reboot. (I left that theater a broken man, full of indignation)

10. I am allergic to shellfish and cat dander (Regardless of this, I have a pet cat)

11. I genuinely enjoy every musical genre, and have a varied playlist (with the exception of Death & Black Metal as well as Screamo)

12. I have been doodling since age 2-3 and when I started Kindergarten when my teacher saw my drawings, she begged my parents to have me go to a psychologist as my little monster doodles depicted that I am messed up in the head. :P

13. My first job was as a Plumber's apprentice; Most physically exhausting job I've ever worked, 11 hour summer days. A lot of respect for the profession.

14. I am a huge Nintendo fan, and have been my entire life, needless to say Satoru Iwata's death was heart-breaking to me personally.

15. I am quite adept at improvisation and have always enjoyed the theater. Which is surprising because the decision to get me into theater classes was my mother's claiming that I was TOO dramatic and needed a place to better project that energy.

16. Despite not being a religious individual by definition, I am extremely spiritual and think there is not only value but peace and joy in cultivating a relationship with God and his Word.

17. I used to collect Street Shark/TMNT toys and Digimon cards (both of which my mom threw away/donated </3)

18. Despite not being a huge avid reader as I used to be, I do enjoy graphic novels these days, currently reading TWD, Invincible, East of West, IDW's TMNT, Fables, and Saga.(I also enjoy reading Manga, One Piece being my current favorite on-going series)

19. I am extremely critical of myself and what I can and can't do. I am however very easy-going with most others. This, with my tendency to be a procrastinator and at times lazy cause me the biggest internal stress.

20. I am deathly afraid of heights, the unknown, and the Chucky movie franchise lol.

21. Currently in a relationship with the most amazing lady<3. The only real downside is that it is a Long Distance Relationship (LDR). (Extra tidbit: It was because of her I started a blog)

22. Despite having a cat these days I have always been incredibly attached to dogs, my childhood dogs of 13 years, 2 Maltese (Ralphie and Charlie), passed away earlier this year. :(

23. When I was a kid I used simple observation and experiments to disprove Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, much to my mother's dismay. However when I discovered that the tooth fairy was fake after accidentally discovering my baby teeth in a box, I was devastated... I was also 14. lol

24. Due to my over active imagination, quick thinking, and want to share what I thought of, and why I thought of it, is usually received with drug tests or accusations.

25. When I was in kindergarten and First grade, I used to beat up older kids, steal juice boxes for the whole class to be "cool", and had earned all the other kid's respect, and eventually had most under my command. My teachers at the time didn't know how to punish me as with my imagination and silver tongue I never learned, they found the best way was to send me to the preschool class I could not take whining, it was torture. I have calmed down significantly since then.

26. When I was 13, I realized I couldn't read the board in class anymore, I would squint, move up, and even asked my friend to borrow his glasses from time to time, it literally took me a year before I realized I needed glasses... so dumb.

27. I have only gotten after-school detention once in my life, in 8th grade, for drawing on a bus seat with my friend Jesus. The Vice Principal, said it was because by drawing on the bus seat not only do we encourage others to be vandals, but the bus driver will become paranoid due to the cleanliness of their seats and not pay attention to the road therefore putting all our lives at risk. I am not kidding, had to spend an entire afternoon cleaning the school in the janitor's place, followed by having to pay for new seats as the one's we doodled on were damaged beyond repair... I disliked Mr. Miller very much lol.

28. I met my best friend of 19 years due to a complicated pregnancy of his mom, a Spanish teacher, and my Mom needing a Spanish teaching job. Due to the utter perfect situation, my Mom taught the class as a year long substitute the kid's loved her so much they gave her the job permanently. She however had constant contact with the original teacher during that time, so I got to know her son quite well. His little sister considers me her "other brother" even to this day, due tot he ridiculous amount of time we would hang out. (If not for his event my mom was already being considered to go teach at another school in another county.)

29. I have brown eyes, one nose, and am 5'11 tall! #Genericness

30. My favorite Childhood comic strip was Calvin & Hobbes, I still adore it to this day and find author, Bill Watterson, to be a beautiful human being.

31. To a lot of folks I am at my most philosophical or inspirational when I am annoyed or vent about stuff, instead of when I actually try to be.

32. I was once found so attractive by another man that I was voted his #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday) not sure if I should be honored or insulted by this though.

33.  I am obsessed with inserting, Sponge Bob and Community jokes in my every day life, however only from the first 3 seasons of each which I hold high regard to. (Sponge Bob should have ended after the first movie imho)

34. Despite being a sweet and understanding individual overall, I am quite the cynical and sarcastic individual. Many are surprised when I joke as their image of me becomes distorted. I find dark/witty humor, slapstick, and stereotypical jokes to be hilarious. Unlike toilet and some raunchy humor which I find to be tasteless and for the most part, stupid.

35. I have the tendency to give people pet names or nicknames fairly quickly, That or I like to call people "kid" even when they are a couple of years older. I never mean any of it with disrespect, whether or not they choose to see it that way is another story.

36. Whenever I go antiquing in Virginia, store clerks think I am of Persian descent and due to my politeness and similar background to themselves, I get discounts quite often.(Only in antique stores however, my look doesn't go as smoothly in airports I'm afraid)

37. I have weird emotions when it comes to cinema. During many sad moments in cinema, I will laugh instead of cry most of the time because I find it silly or forced, however during moments of camaraderie, adventure, and some romance, I will tear up like Mary Magdalene because of reasons. With the exception of 2 Pixar movies, Toy Story 3 and Up had me in pure depression.

38. Speaking of movies, when it comes to animated films, I am usually more engrossed by art direction and techniques than I am with the plot itself, where after the film I will passionately ramble on about art direction more than plot.

39. Despite being unbelievably clumsy, and I am not exaggerating it, I have never broken a bone! (Hope I never do). It's like I am elastic, however, I am not flexible at all, so I can't really explain it.

40. My favorite ice cream type is chocolate chips, however, I am not a sweet tooth at all, so I don't indulge on confectionery treats often.

41. That said, my comfort food is actually salty, ever since I was a toddler my favorite comfort food has been olives, and they still are to this day.

42. My first word was "Buttons"

43. I have an incredibly difficult time showing empathy to people who claim to suffer from cyber-bullying, I humbly admit, not getting how that is a problem, people have tried to cyber bully me but I see it as so pathetic I feel bad for the bully instead of the victim. I believe since I was adept with using humor, out smarting bullies with my randomness I never saw them as an issue. (I stopped being violent from 3rd grade onward, but even if they tried to fight me I found them to be stupid and was in no way ever affected, not bragging, I simply have a hard time empathizing with this, especially in a virtual space; Yes, I am working on it.)

44. I have never seen Breaking Bad, and for the time being don't have the slightest interest to do so either.

45. I never learned to ride a bike, no one ever took the time to teach me. So the saying, "it's like riding a bike" eludes me.

46. I never thought girls were "icky" as a kid, just whiny and annoying; yet I thought many of them were also very pretty and told them such, when I thought they looked nice.

47. My Myer-Briggs personality type is ENFP.

48. I loved science as a kid, and from seeing it in TV shows I was always psyched about taking Chemistry and doing labs, by the time I got to High school, I found that Chemistry was my absolute worst subject, I fell in love with History instead as science had betrayed me. lol

49. People in my office debate whether I am more sociopath or psychopath because of my odd theatrical ways in which I react to things as well as my sense of humor. They submitted me to an anonymous test and I came out as 50% Sociopath and 50% Psychopath, that means they cancel each other out and I'm normal... Right?

50. I have the tendency to change my accent mid-sentence when I am excited or wish to make emphasis towards a point I am making. Many people like me to read things aloud or narrate because of this, where as others find it annoying.

**BONUS**

51. My dream is to have my own web-comic or be an animator for a big studio or my own studio, and I genuinely love other people's creative styles which is why I started MS Paint Monday. Also as far as web comics go, I recommend you check out JL8 by Yale Stewart it is glorious and sweet.

Wachi
